Benki ya Dunia (WB) na Shirika la Fedha la Kimataifa, IMF, zimeidhinisha rasmi sarafu ya China, Yuan, kutumika rasmi kama fedha ya kimataifa. Hii inafanya fedha rasmi za kimataifa kufikia 4. Kabla ya kuuhusiwa Yuan, fedha rasmi za kimataifa zilikuwa Dola ya Marekani, Euro ya Ulaya na Yen ya Japan.
Kuingizwa kwa Yuan, kunafuatia China kuipiku Marekani, Japan na Ulaya katika utawala wa uchumi wa dunia, hivyo sasa China ndio mtawala wa uchumi wa dunia.
Magavana wa nchi za Afrika, Kusini mwa Jangwa la Sahara, wanakutana jijini Dar es Salaam, kujadili fursa zitokanazo na ujio wa Yuani kwenye fedha za kimataifa.
Hii maana yake, unaposafiri nje, badala ya kubadili fedha kununua dola ya Kimarekani, sasa watu watanunua Yuani ya China, na kufanya malipo mahali popote duniani, na hii ni ehueni kubwa sana kwa nchi masikini, kuandokana na ugonjwa wa dolaraizesheni, sasa tujiandae kwa Yuanairesheni.
Japo mimi sii mchumi, naishauri BOT, iachane na utengenezaji wa fedha yetu ya madafu na hata jina la shilingi tuachane nalo, tubadili jina la sarafu yetu iwe Yuan ya Afrika Mashariki!.
Nimemkumbuka Gaddafi, aliwatuma wachumi wake kufanya jumla ya nguvu za kiuchumi za bara la Afrika, akagundua tukiungana na kuwa na sarafu moja, tuna uchumi mkubwa kuliko Ulaya na Marekani, anayetupita ni China tuu!, akapanga kuuunganisha nchi za Afrika kuwa taifa moja, kuachana na WB, na IMF, na kuunda AB, AMF, kuachana na ITU na kuunda AIU, na kuachana na mataifa mabeberu with nothing ku dictate all the terms!.
The New World Order, wakaliona tishio hili la Gadafi!, wakamshughulikia!. Ule mpango wa Gadafi ungefanikiwa, Afrika tungekuwa wa pili baada ya China tukiwapangia US na Europe!.
Gavana wa BOT, Prof. Benno Ndulu, amehutubia mkutano huu na kugusia umekuja wakati muafaka ambapo BOT inatimiza miaka 50!.

Central Banks Govenors from the MEFMI region will meet for the annual Forum that will be held at the Bank of Tanzania on Monday 20 June 2016. The event will be attended by up to 40 officials comprising 14 Central Bank Governors and Deputy Governors from the MEFMI region, technical experts from Investec Asset Management and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland. Investec is the financial partner for the event. The Forum will be held back to back with the Bank of Tanzania Golden Jubilee celebrations on 22 June 2016.
The Govenors’ Forum is one of the Executive Fora series on MEFMI’s annual calendar of events meant to assist in developing and sustaining a crop of more informed policy makers in the region. Each event is uniquely crafted in an effort to address critical issues that impact and affect the role of the central banks in the macroeconomic and financial management of our region. The Forums are also used to come up with a common understanding of both prevailing and emerging economic issues.
The theme for the Forum is “Implications of the IMF Adoption of Chinese Yuan as Part of the Special Drawing Rights Basket of Currencies”. The theme is highly relevant to the MEFMI region, particularly the central banking community as they are the custodians of foreign exchange reserves and facilitators of international trade settlements.
It is MEFMI’s hope that both the presentations and the discussions will provide the unique opportunity for sharing views on the inclusion of the Chinese Yuan into the basket of reserve currencies of the IMF / World Bank.
