I see Raila Odinga is speaking at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) with the former Ambassador to Kenya, William Bellamy. What you don’t see is more important than what you see. Where is the President and CEO of CSIS, or even the Vice President, if Raila Odinga’s appearance is so high profile? He is being interviewed by a retired diplomat, who actually does not even work at CSIS, a good man but is he going to carry Baba’s message to the White House? Typically, at the level of a statesman who has been prime minister, the senior staff of CSIS would be moderating the conversation. This is embarrassing.
What baba needs to understand about the centre of global power is that it cares more about its own interests than in his whining and crying wolf. America has an extensive intelligence understanding of Kenya. If Baba had a chance of being in government or leading Kenya, you can bet the meetings would be more high level.
What Kenyans are seeing at CSIS, as Baba goes on and on, is the kind of thing you see in primary school when the class sneak goes to report to the teacher and he is lying. Then learns that the teacher would not see him so ends up reporting to guys who serve tea in the staff room.
Hehehehe!! Aki hii nchi, mnaambizana makavu hadi basi.....
