Naomba niwarudishe shule kidogo. Kwanini tunatumia copper Road kuunganisha waya wa Earth kwenye nyumba zetu?
The resistance of an electrical Conductor depends on 4 factors, Length, Cross section Area, type, and Temp of material.
It is known that Resistance R, ∝ L and R ∝ 1/a. That means R ∝ L/a. Means that the Resistance of wire increase when the length increase, but decrease when cross section area increases.
From R ∝ L/a, let ρ (rho). be constant means Resistivity of the material, with SI Unit of Ωm. Then Resistance R = ρL/a ohms.
NOTE THAT. Good Conductor have a low value of Resistivity and good insulators have a high value of Resistivity.
Copper is a good conductor with Resistivity of (0.017 μΩm) but Glass is a bad conductor with Resistivity of ( 10000 μΩm)
