Utaratibu uliozoeleka na watu wengi, hata kwenye hoteli za kitalii, ni kuanza kula chakula cha kawaida na mwisho kula matunda (desert). Huo siyo utaratibu sahihi, leo nitakukumbusha na kukujuza katika jambo hili muhimu la mustakabali wa maisha yako.

NJIA SAHIHI YA KULA MATUNDA
Unapaswa kula matunda kwanza kabla hujatia chakula kingine tumboni. Matunda hayaliwi baada ya mlo kama ilivyozoeleka na watu wengi. Kwa kula matunda kabla ya mlo kunawezesha matunda hayo kuingia mwilini na kufanya kazi yake ipasavyo kama vile kusafisha mfumo wa damu (detoxification) na kuupa mwili nguvu.

Mfano; ukila vipande viwili vya mkate kisha ukala na vipande viwili vya matunda, matunda yatasagika mapema kuliko mkate. Kwa kuwa vipande vya matunda vinasagika haraka vitakosa mahali pa kupitia wakati vitakapokuwa tayari kwenda kwenye utumbo, hivyo matunda nayo yatakwama hapo.

Kwa mujibu wa watafiti wetu katika masuala ya lishe, chakula kinapoingia tumboni huumuka na kuwa na asidi, matunda yaliyokwama na kukutana na vipande hivyo vya mkate pamoja na yale majimaji ya kulainishia na kusaga chakula yaliyomo tumboni (digestive juice), matokeo yake huwa ni kuharibika kwa chakula chote na kuanza kuumwa tumbo. Kwa sababu hiyo, inashauriwa tunda liliwe kabla ya kula kitu chochote. Kama utakula baada ya kula chakula, basi iwe baada ya angalau saa moja kupita.

Baadhi ya watu wanapokula tunda au kunywa juisi hupiga mbwewe au tumbo kuunguruma na hata kuuma na kujisikia kwenda chooni. Hii hutokea hasa wanapokula ndizi mbivu. Hiyo yote inatokana na kuchanganya chakula na matunda. Hali hii inaweza kuepukwa kama matunda yataliwa kwanza kabla ya chakula kingine.

Weusi unaotokea chini ya macho, kuota mvi, upara na kuwa na wasiwasi kila mara, kunaweza kuepushwa kwa kula matunda kabla ya kula kitu kingine. Kuna dhana potofu kuwa, unapokula matunda kama machungwa na ndimu, husababisha gesi tumboni lakini utafiti wa kisayansi unaonesha kuwa matunda yote yenye asidi yanapoingia tumboni huondoka asidi na kuwa ‘alikali’.

Kula tunda na nyama zake, kama vile chungwa, ni bora zaidi kuliko kunywa juisi yake kwani nyama za matunda hayo zina kambalishe (fibres) muhimu zenye faida nyingi mwilini. Unywapo juisi, kunywa taratibu kwa kujaza mdomoni ili juisi ipate nafasi ya kuchanganyikana na mate yako kabla ya kumeza.

FUNGA YA SIKU TATU

Kufunga kula kwa siku tatu huku ukitumia matunda pekee, ni njia bora ya kusafisha mfumo wa damu na kuondoa sumu mwilini. Ili kufanikisha hilo, kula matunda na kunywa juisi za matunda tu katika kipindi chote cha siku 3 na utashangaa marafiki zako watakavyoona umenawiri.

Katika kipindi hicho cha kufunga, utakuwa ukila matunda mchanganyiko na kwa muda tofauti, hupaswi kula chakula kingine zaidi ya matunda na maji. Unaweza pia ukaandaa ‘saladi’ ya matunda au mboga, ambayo inaweza kuwa nzuri zaidi.

Ukifanikiwa kutumia njia sahihi ya kula matunda, bila shaka utakuwa umegundua siri ya urembo, maisha marefu, afya njema, nguvu, kinga ya mwili, furaha na kuishi ukiwa na uzito wa kawaida siku zote.

The kiwifruit, often shortened to kiwi in many parts of the world, is the edible berry of a cultivar group of the woody vine Actinidia deliciosa andhybrids between this and other species in the genus Actinidia.

The most common cultivars of kiwifruit are oval, about the size of a large hen's egg (5–8 cm / 2–3 in long and 4.5–5.5 cm / 1¾–2 in diameter). It has a fibrous, dull brown-green skin and bright green or golden flesh with rows of tiny, black, edible seeds. The fruit has a soft texture and a sweet but unique flavor, and today is a commercial crop in several countries, such as Italy, New Zealand, Chile, Greece Turkey and France.

Kiwifruit is a rich source of vitamin C, 1.5 times the DRI scale in the USA per 100 grams. Its potassium content by weight is slightly less than that of a banana. It also contains vitamin E,[SUP][12][/SUP] and a small amount of vitamin A.[SUP][12][/SUP][SUP][13][/SUP] The skin is a good

source of flavonoidantioxidants (though it may also retain agricultural pesticides[SUP][14][/SUP]). The kiwifruit seed oil contains on average 62% alpha-linolenic acid, anomega-3 fatty acid.[SUP][15][/SUP] Usually a medium size kiwifruit contains about 46 calories,[SUP][16][/SUP] 0.3

g fat, 1 g protein, 11 g carbohydrates, and 2.6 g dietary fiber found partly in the edible skin.[SUP][17][/SUP] Kiwifruit is often reported to have mild laxative effects, due to its significant level of dietary fiber.[SUP][18][/SUP]

Raw kiwifruit is also rich in the protein-dissolving enzyme actinidin, (in the same family of thiol proteases as papain), which is commercially useful as a meat tenderizer, but can be an allergen for some individuals. Specifically, people allergic to latex, papayas or pineapples are likely to also be allergic to kiwifruit. The fruit also contains calcium oxalate crystals in the form of raphides. Reactions to these chemicals include sweating, tingling and sore mouth or throat; swelling of the lips, tongue and

face; rash; vomiting and abdominal pain, heartburn; and, in the most severe cases, breathing difficulties, wheezing and collapse. The most common symptoms are unpleasant itching and soreness of the mouth, with the most common severe symptom being wheezing. Severe symptoms are most likely to occur in young children.

Actinidin also makes raw kiwifruit unsuitable for use in desserts containing milk or any other dairy products which are not going to be served within hours, because the enzyme soon begins to digest milk proteins. This applies to gelatin-based desserts as well, as the actinidin will dissolve the collagen proteins in gelatin very quickly, either liquifying the dessert, or

preventing it from solidifying. However, the U.S. Department of Agriculture suggests cooking the fruit for a few minutes before adding it to the gelatin to overcome this effect.[SUP][19][/SUP] Sliced kiwifruit has long been regularly used as a garnish atop whipped

cream on New Zealand's national dessert, the pavlova. It can also be used incurry.[SUP][20][/SUP]
Kiwifruit components, possibly involving vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids from its numerous edible seeds, have potential properties of a natural blood thinner. A study performed at the University of Oslo in Norway reported consuming two to three

kiwifruit daily for 28 days significantly reduced platelet aggregation and blood triglyceride levels (similar to popular mainstream aspirin therapy), potentially reducing the risk of blood clots.[SUP][21][/SUP]
Kiwifruit is a natural source of carotenoids, such as provitamin A beta-carotene,[SUP][22][/SUP] lutein and zeaxanthin.[SUP][23]
