Hujasema ni katika level gani unaulizia. Is it at Bachelor Level, Masters or PhD.
Course ya Health System Management ina historia ndefu sana pale Mzumbe. Hapa Mwanzo ilikuwa ikitolewa kama Advanced Diploma Hospital Administatration by then IDM, baadaye ikabadilika kidogo na kuwa ni option ya Public Administration yaani Balchelor of Public Administation in Health Services Management after becoming the University. Na hatimaye ni stand alone degree with more focus on the Health Systems zaidi. Hii ni kwa ngazi zote za Bachelor, Masters mpaka PhD.

Mifumo na Huduma za afya inahitaji uongozi mzuri. Watu wenye Management Skills katika mifumo ya afya ndo wanaopikwa pale Mzumbe. Hawa utawaona wakifanya kazi kama Makatibu wa Mahospitali Makubwa yaani Hospital Secretaries na pia all Health Secretaries in District and Regional Hospitals lazima wawe wamesoma kozi hii pale Mzumbe University. Soko lake la ajira ni zuri so far kwa kuwa NGO nyingi pia zinahitaji watu wa namna hii.

Mzumbe ndiyo chuo pekee kitoacho shahada hii kwa ngazi zote. You can google DR. Sunday Mukama from Nigeria aliyetunukiwa shahada ya UZAMIVU katika Health Systems Management pale Mzumbe in 2011.

7.2.1 Bachelor Degree programmes
Direct entry qualification
At least two (2) principal level passes and one subsidiary in any subject at the Advanced
Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E) or equivalent: Where the principal
passes do not include English; the applicant must have obtained a credit pass in English at ‘O'
Level;
Equivalent Entry Qualifications
(i) An appropriate diploma of not less than second class level from registered Institution.
OR
(ii) A certificate from Mzumbe University of not less than second class level. The candidate
must have completed form VI with at least 3.5 points in the ACSEE. Where the
principal pass does include English Language, the applicants must have obtained
at least a credit in English Language at O-level

Mature Age Entry Qualification
(i) Applicants must be 25 years of age or older, in the year in which
admission is sought and the applicant must have attended and passed tests in extra mural classes,
residential courses or courses offered by adult education centre or college recognized
by an approved authority. OR must have post secondary school work
experience of not less than four (4) years,
(ii) Applicant must have obtained at least two (2) credits one of which must
be English Language at O-Level and
(iii) Applicant must sit and pass the MU mature age entry examination.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
This is a three-year programme in Health Services Management for middle level officers in both private and public health service organisations. The programme covers six semesters of 17 weeks each. The Programme requires candidates to successfully complete a total of 60 credit points including field project in the sixth semester of study.

The programme is designed to provide job-based training to future administrators in Health Services management. It is professionally tailored to meet the growing demand for well-trained and skilled administrators who can significantly contribute in helping the health service organisations to sustainably satisfy the ever-increasing demand for health services at required quality and quantity in both rural and urban areas.

Programme Objective and Description
This is a three-year programme run under semester system of 17 weeks each
designed to provide knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for middle level
managers who want to pursue careers in the public and private health sectors
health systems.. It is tailored to meet the growing demand for well trained and
skilled health managers who can make significant contribution to the development
of the health sector in national economies.

At the end of the programme graduates should be able to:

Effectively carry out administrative duties in health service organisations
Provide expert advice on how to increase efficiency in managing health systems and services and meet expectations of the members of the public;
Identify and explain relationships between health systems, communities and various social and economic conditions;
Apply the acquired knowledge and skills to identify, analyse health and management problems at their work places and develop appropriate solutions; and
Correctly interpret and explain government policies and legal aspects in health services management.

Ni kweli kasisa, unaweza kuona kama hakuna mtu niliyemsumbua. Lakin kwa mtu muungwana, ni kitendo cha kawaida kuomba radhi hasa kwa mtu unapotoa taarifa iliyo na makosa. Dr. Sunday Makama is not Dr. Sunday Mukama.
 
Habari wana JF ninaomba kuelimishwa hivi hii kozi ya Bachelor of Health Systems Management inayotolewa na Mzumbe University ina statua gani katika soko la ajira kwa upande wa private institutions?
 
Soma tuu jombaa utakapo kua upo kati kati ya hiyo course utajua tu wapi kwa kupiga mzigo..ila in short kozi za science na afya ziko fresh tu ingawa ktk utafutaji wa ajira ni ngoma droo
 
Mkuu Johnson Rutta hii course imejikita katika masuala ya utawala katika sekta ya afya.Hapa Tanzania mara nyingi utawakuta katika hospital za wilaya na mikoa Health Secretary (Katibu wa afya).Kazi zao kubwa ni kumsaidia DMO / RMO katika masuala yote ya utawala.Kuandaa ripoti za afya katika eneo lao eg Idadi ya wagonjwa walihudhuria hospital,magonjwa gani yanayosababisha vifo nk.

Haya ni bahadhi ya masomo utyakayotakiwa kusoma iwapo utajiunga na hiyo course.

1.Healthcare economis

2.Healthcare finance

3.Law healthcare .... and so on.

Sio kila kitu ni faculty wewe,mbona kama ndo hivi ushafeli kabla hujapata hata admission.

Ahahahahaha faculty.. Kwanza hakuna faculty ya HSM Mzumbe... kuna kozi tu ya Health service management ambyo ipo chini ya School of public administration (Kwa mzumbe main campus).. Yote tisa... Ni kozi nzuri maana ajira za afya kwa makatibu wa afya ni direct.. Labda huko mbeleni
