I have always raised "wordiness" as an issue with Mwanakijiji.Economy of words is an area that needs improvement, otherwise you will lose a lot of readers.

Pundit, this is one of the few things I'm not worried about. Mtu ambaye hawezi kusoma vitu kwa sababu ni "virefu" sina jinsi ya kumsaidia kwa kweli. Hicho mnachosoma ni version fupi sasa nikianza kuandika kwa kirefu si itakuwa kazi.

It is not necessarily due to readers lazyness some people can get through the length of Tolstoy's "War and Peace" and Gibbons "The Decline and Fall of Rome" not to mention the history of having gone through the entire bible forward and backwards by age 10, so some can read when they want to.

But one has to make a choice between a lot of reading, the complete works of Shakespeare, WSJ,NYT, The Nation, The Economist, Columbia Journalism Review, US News and World Report, Newsweek, Time, IPPMedia, Mwanakijiji.com you get the idea. And the choice must be justified, and I find some of your posts to be unjustifiably long.

I'll try to justify it whenever I can.

The challenge is, to say the most using the least amount of the most effective words.

asante sana, nadhani jibu langu kwa Pundit will apply here. Ushauri wangu kwa wale wanaopenda kusoma kwa ufupi, usisome makala zangu kwani naziandika kwa urefu ambao ndio ufupisho niliouweza. Nadhani kuna makala nyingi zinaandikwa kwa kifupi na ninawaunga mkono wanaofanya hivyo. Nitajitahidi zaidi katika kuboresha mtiririko wa mawazo, mpangilio wa maneno na kuhariri vizuri zaidi.

Mara nyingi (isomeke zote) huwa sirudii kusoma nilichoandika mimi mwenyewe na kufanyia uhariri. I'll definitely improve in that which might shorten articles to the delight of some.

You did not get the irony memo it seems, killing wordiness with wordiness was the motto.

Kind of giving back the experience and seeing how appreciative the good people of JF are.

I just declared the "siri" part to be nothing but an old trick in the book of sensationalist tabloidism.

A shame, because I am sure there are many notable things in the piece, but with this level of integrity, this is just ammo to those who usually front that Mwanakijiji is blowing things out of proportions. The truth is bad enough, no need to oversensationalize it.
