PRESIDENT Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete is expected to conduct a four day working tour in Kilimanjaro Region starting from Sunday in Same District, where he will launch a ginger industry.
Speaking to reporters ,the Kilimanjaro Regional Commissioner Mr Leonidas Gama said the tour will involve five district councils namely Same, Mwanga, Rombo, Hai and Moshi Municipal.
The president will also conduct public rallies in the five districts whereby in Same he will also launch the construction of eight houses meant for flood victims.
In other districts, the president will visit different development projects including laying the foundation stone of Asha Rose Migiro Secondary School girl's hostel in Mwanga.
"Dr Kikwete will also launch the Mkuu- Tarakea road which connects our region with the neighbouring country of Kenya and he will also lay down the foundation stone at the Kwasadala -Masama Road in Hai district," Gama said.
He said the tour will start on Sunday and is expected to end on the 31st October this year.
