Kenyans in the diaspora drum up support for Kibaki

The Kenya community in Seattle Washington is hosting the Kibaki Tena campaign team.

During one of the meetings the Kenya Community in Seattle affirmed their support for President Mwai Kibaki's re-Election bid.

The Meeting organized by Members of the Kibaki Tena Campaign in Seattle also established a Website http://www.kibakitenaseattle.org/ in support of the re-election of President Kibaki.

They also opened an office in support of the campaign in Washington.

The Committee members include, Waruimbo Wangendo, Andrew Delei, Boniface Wangaine and Mama Mose.

Speaking at the function, the Nairobi Stock Exchange chairman Jimnah Mbaru credited Kibakis Government for achieving high economic growth in the country due to his good political leadership.

Jimna said the Vision 2030 which is supposed to replace the Economic Recovery Strategy for Wealth Creation in December, will further make Kenya a competitive country globally.

He said Kenya's prosperity is hinged on the success of the Vision 2030 including ensuring that the quality of life in the country is much higher.

Jimnah said the Vision 2030 has three pillars, of economic, Social and Political development.

Jimnah said the aim of the government is to achieve a 10% GDP and sustain it there in order to ensure continued economic growth.

He encouraged Kenyans in the Diaspora to invest in the NSE secondary Market where Shares are well priced and Great value can be found.
