What i notice from the growth is that Kenya's rapid growth has been tied to the new constituition. We put in the new law in 2010 which enshrined private property rights into the law giving investors confidence.
Combined with the clear independence of our judicial system.

Another example is Chef Rubia, due to the downturn of the economy in hospitality, He started making homemade bbq sauce and it has made him an overnight hit. I heard he has sold about kes 1.6 million worth of bbq sauce online which he makes from home due to the pandemic.

upcountry towns were very dull

Mind u during Moi n 2007 PEV u didn't have these white elephant projects like u have now! And Tanzania was not investing in major infrastructure!

moi was shit...kenya was in the sewer, from 1992 - 2000 we never got loans , and most foreign aid was frozen due to corruption.
it was a lost decade...

But our private sector pulled itself through

Africa tuache mambo ya kujilinganisha pesa yetu na vipesa vya kidola vya kijingajinga. Tutumie maliasili zetu kutengeneza za kwetu. Nikija kuwa Rais wa popote, labda nitajaribu kutengeneza pesa zetu kwa kutumia dhahabu (Gold), halafu tuone kama watakuja tena watu kulinganisha makaratasi na dhahabu, au namba namba za kijinga na dhahabu. Kama wajerumani walijaribu kutengeneza Rupee, sisi wenye ardhi je? Pumbafu...nimechoka kunyanyaswa na wasio na kitu wakati nyumbani nina kila kitu.

Kwanza, nikupongeze kwa kuwa mkweli na mtu mwenye kusimamia mawazo yako. Hicho na mie ni kitu na kithamini sana, haijalishi nani ana ni follow au ana maoni gani kuhusu mawazo yangu.

Iko hivi, hao jamaa hata wangesema uchumi wa TZ utaongezeka au kukua kwa asilimia 10, sio kitu cha kushangilia sana kwakua kuna vigezo na mambo mengi sana yanayopelekea hayo makadirio kufikiwa. Inamaanisha inaweza kuzidi hicho walichokisema, inaweza isifikie au inaweza hali iwe mbaya zaidi, hiyo yote inategemea na vigezo vinavyochocheaukuaji wa uchumi na pato la taifa.

Nikuulize tu, waksti hizo tathmin zinatoka, walihesabia madhara ya Corona kwa mapana yake na athari zake kwa uchumi wa Kenya? Na wamekisia hilo janga litaenda kwa muda gani na kuathiri kwa kiwango gani huo utabiri wao?

Niishie hapo kwa sasa mkuu, ikikupendeza unaweza ku ignore kabisa achilia mbali ku unfollow.
