Kenya face a nervous wait to see whether they will realise their dream of playing in the IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy final after securing a 67-0 victory with the crucial bonus point over Cayman Islands at RFUEA Grounds.
The hosts will now be keeping fingers crossed that USA beat Namibia in the 14:00 local time kick off - and do not secure a bonus point - if they are to finish top of Pool A after running in 10 tries.
Key to Kenya's victory was a strong performance by their forward pack with them accounting for seven of the 10 tries, with Matthew Musalia, Dennis Karani, Mugambi Kithamba, Ken Isindu and Oscar Ouma with a hat-trick of tries.
Kenya should have had the try bonus point wrapped up before half-time, but Patrice Agunda dropped the ball as he went to touch down in the fifth minute after the centre had scythed through the Cayman defence.
The hosts' determination to score the tries was evident from the outset, but handling errors denied them until number 8 Isindu charged through to send flanker Ouma over for his first try.
Hooker Matthew Musalia then barged over from the breakdown before Agunda made amends for his earlier error to touch down after a great break from Andola to give Kenya a 22-0 lead at half time.
Fly half Kenny Andola's show of the ball enabled Ouma to score the bonus point try after the break with Karani getting his name on the scoreboard before Ouma completed his hat-trick after another charge by Isindu.
Replacement Felix Ayange side-stepped his marker to sprint clear for try number seven, before Mugambi, the impressive Isindu and another player off the bench - Joseph Abala - crossed to spark dancing in celebration.
The Cayman Islands put in a much-improved performance and took the game to Kenya early on, but the Kenya's determination and constant battering with their forward pack proved the difference.
