like it...............I find it funny that we have a group in the forums that is always down-talking other armed forces, and the reason they use is the TPDF experience. Now lets consider the facts, the last time TPDF fought an all out war, was in 1978/79 if we assume that the youngest soldier was 15 years of age, the youngest age to volunteer, the today they would be 48/49 (assuming they volunteered that same year).
Now also consider that the "average" max military age is around 50 (TPDF's I believe is 49). these experienced personnel have either retired or have a year to go, and even if they have not retired they are of no age to be on the field.
So the only thing we have left is the training they have passed down to the new blood. It just so happens that they are not the only ones training all the other armies are training as well, and I would rightfully assume that army training is not based on the experience of a single encounter but rather on knowledge gathered from multiple and varied encounters between various different types armed forces (including TPDF). There is a reason people still study the armies and styles of the Romans, the Chinese, the Japanese, Shaka's army and even guerrilla tactics to name a few.
I strongly believe one cannot judge the strength of any army for that matter by observing a few parameters. It goes deeper than that.
