[h=2]Kenyans Gear Up For Kenya @50 Celebrations[/h]
It is expected to be the biggest celebration witnessed in the country since independence in 1963. And the importance attached to the Kenya at 50 celebrations was evident in Nairobi as organizers and entertainers put the finishing works on planned activities. Evelyn Wambui tells us what to expect in this year's special Madaraka day celebrations.

A good analysis;
  • Challenges at Independence; Poverty, illiteracy, diseases
  • Challenges after 50 post independence; poverty, illiteracy, diseases, tribalism, grand corruptions, impunity,..., Who will become the Ken Saro Wiwa of Africa? BORA UKOLONI

Ten heads of State and Government have arrived in the country for the 50th Jamhuri day celebrations.

Among are the presidents of Nigeria, Malawi and Sri lanka and Uganda who had arrived by 7pm. Others who had arrived are from Eritrea, Burundi, Botswana, South Sudan and Tanzania.
--extracted from daily nation.

Hii si tym ya kuteta. So far we have achieved more as a country, including reducing poverty, improving on literacy levels and eradicating diseases. These are enough for us to celebrate as a country. Hayo mengine tutajaribu kuyatatua as we move on towards 100yrs of independence. A step at a time.

Africa nzima iko hivyo. Hakuna mwenye nafuu. At least you guys have a good constitution in place, sisi bado tumelala usingizi!!
don't condone tribalism through self consolation scale-wise and in comparison tribalism haiko kila mahali as that of Kenya is unique and has graduated! Anyway happy birthday on your nation turning 50

They may have the tribalism scourge but let's not forget that Tanzania may have something else equivalent to tribalism that's even worse..............

NOT YET UHURU.

Kenya is celebrating 50 years amidst prevailing injustice in the land. What is there to be proud for?
