Last month directives were given concerning individuals coming into the country for mandatory quarantine in different isolation centers across the country.
Today, Miguna Miguna through his Twitter account revealed how some of those put in the facilities had been engaging in sexual acts instead of isolating as they awaited testing and results.
One follower who wanted to maintain anonymity sent Miguna a message exposing the filthy acts that most people were involved in at The Kenya Medical Training Institute.
“A message from a Kenyan Quarantined at the KMTC: "I arrived from Seychelles on 25th March and I was brought to KMTC MG facility. We're 128 in total out of these are 8 Pakistani. On the 1st test there were 3 positive cases and it took 3 days for them to isolate the victims.
People are stressed. What you posted is absolutely right. People are engaging in sex until the point they ask the authorities to provide them with condoms despite the social distancing rules. Today we got 2 positive cases and fortunately they isolated them on time.
General, we don't know what will happen to us. We are forced to share same facilities [at close quarters] and they are expecting us not to infect ourselves. 😣😣😣😣😣 We want them to release us because soon we gonna turn positive too." Read the message.
Numerous people in quarantine have complained about the poor state in which they are forced to live in, unfortunately their pleas fall on deaf ears.
The government proposed an additional fourteen days from the initial fourteen days for those in isolation as they continue with testing in a bid to reduce the spread of Corona.
The confirmed cases of those infected by the virus shot to 216 today after an additional 8 individuals were confirmed to have contracted the virus.
