WAJIBU-Institute of Public Accountability is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in 2015 by the former CAG of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mr. Ludovick Utouh and the retired Managing Director of TPDC Mr. Yona Killagane. WAJIBU was established with the purpose of fostering an environment that supports and promotes public accountability and good governance in Tanzania. WAJIBU is looking for selfmotivated young Tanzanians to fill its two intern positions under the Research, Development and Programme Department.

Key Responsibility:

  • Assist the program team in the implementation of the project by supporting preparation and conducting of Accountability Clubs and establishment of accountability clubs at higher learning institutions, coordinating club meetings to ensure active participation of members.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on the progress of the Accountability Clubs.
  • Picking out relevant information coming out of Accountability Clubs for postings on the WAJIBU’s different online platforms.
  • Monitoring social media web analytics on a weekly basis (e.g., page views, twitter followers), and provide reports of growth and other activity.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisor


Qualifications:
  • A bachelor degree in Social Science studies from a recognized higher learning institution.


Competence and Experience:

To be considered for an internship position at WAJIBU, candidates must:
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills,
  • Be proficient with office software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
  • Be eager to learn and able to work independently.
