This commission is endowed with so much responsibility and a lot of expectations down the road to 2020. Many of the developed economies have embraced S&T to the highest order. They are also striving every minute to make the best better when it comes to employing S&T for their country and community development. Their bodies which are equivalent to COSTECH in our country are not only fully funded, but also employing management as well as technical staff who are really on top of the matters and who are in a position to take up issues to the dot.
COSTECH has one of the weakest managementteams that have ever existed in this world, I suppose. The directors are there just scanning through their diaries hunting for meetings after meetings. They are kind of in a very deep sleep, they will never be awake, till some force is employed against this tendency.
What do we do as Tanzanians, to get a capable team that will take us where we are aiming to be, a middle income country, by 2020!
Mr. President, for your information, tutafutie team ya wataalam wasimamie Tume hii muhimu. It is high time unaachana na wasanii ambao hata jipya wala fikra mpya hawatakuwa nayo hata tukiwapa miaka mingine 200 tokea leo!
