Mataifa yanayoongozwa kidini huwa kama mazombi vile, mwanamke anauawa kisa tu hakufunika kichwa, watu wamejeruhiwa kwenye maandamano ya kupinga mauaji hayo.

======

At least 36 people have been injured in the Kurdistan Region of Iran, in the northwest of the country, during protests sparked by the death of a Kurdish woman, Mahsa Amini, who died shortly after being arrested in Tehran for not wearing the Islamic headscarf or hijab properly.

The director of the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Arsalan Yarahmedi, reported the number of wounded in declarations to the Kurdish-Iraqi television Rudaw and explained that five of the injured "are in critical condition and need surgery". These are individuals injured in Saghez, Amini's hometown, who have been hospitalized in Tabriz.

Hengaw, an organization dedicated to documenting human rights violations in the Kurdish region of Iran using local sources, has warned that some of the injured have not gone to health centers for fear of being arrested for participating in the protests.

Kurdish opposition parties have called a general strike for Monday in Rojhelat, eastern or Iranian Kurdistan, to protest Amini's death.

Amini was buried on Saturday in her home town of Aychi in the Saghez region of Iranian Kurdistan, and the event turned into a protest rally that was broken up by police using tear gas.

On the same day, protests were held in Sanandaj with slogans such as "Death to the dictator!" or "Death to Khamenei!", in reference to the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to the Saudi channel Al Arabiya.

The demonstrators also tore down a poster in memory of Qasem Soleimani, a senior Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander killed in Iraq in a U.S. attack, according to videos posted on social networks.

"Saghez is not alone!" they have also shouted in reference to Amini's home region. In that locality on Friday there were mobilizations and some women removed the hijab as a gesture of protest.

Hivi kweli Mungu aache kufanya shughuli zake za msingi afuatilie kwanini fulani hajafunika kichwa? Kweli?
