If Mohamed Can Not Go to the Mountain, then.....

Prophet Mohamed ( Peace Be Upon Him ) was once challenged by his people ( The Quaraish) to command the mountain to go to him.

He accepted the challenge .However upon calling the mountain to go to him the mountain did not respond.

He himself decided to go to the said mountain.


From there a new wisdom was born " IF THE MOUNTAIN CANNOT GO TO MOHAMED THEN MOHAMED HAS TO GO TO THE MOUNTAIN "

If some thing that u desire cannot come to you by itself then you have to go for it.

Or If one's will.does not prevail then one must submit to the alternative.

The phrase "If the mountain won't come to Muhammad, Muhammad must go to the mountain." is often used by people without realizing that it was initially intended to ridicule Islam. The incident described in the phrase in fact never happened. This phrase originates from Francis Bacon in Essays, 1625, and later on by John Owen, 1643. Both were attempts to throw ridicule at Mohammed to mock his faith as being false.

It must be clarified that this is a tale and not an actual event that took place because there is nothing in Islamic History or prophetic narrations of Muhammad(s) that mention this alleged event.

Next time you hear people using this phrase please talk to them politely and make them aware :)

Hayo ni maoni yake huyo mwandishi but Bacon hakuwa na ill motive kabisa.Mind u am also a.Muslim. A devoted muslim.for that case and i dont c any problem.on that
