Wapendwa.
I hapen to have read a piece of news somewhere today, but the article left me with more questions than answers. Here is one of notoriuos part:
'In 2008, Tanzania raked in USD1.3bn from 642,000 foreign holidaymakers to account for 17.2 per cent of the GDP, while - according to the Kenya Tourism Boar d (KTB) - Kenya earned around USD811m from fewer than 200,000 tourist arrivals despite the disruptive effects of the election-related violence that year.' IPPMEDIA Guardian.
Can any one help me how this is possible for Tanzania to earn less than our neighbours despite the fact we attracted more tourists?
Or is it we receive third-rate tourists who come and feed themselves with 'mihogo ya kuchoma'?
