Hongera Raisi Obama-wanaopata mapato makubwa walipe kodi kubwa

Nampongeza kwa dhati Raisi Obama wa Marekani kwa kusudio lake la kuongeza kodi kwa wale wenye mapato makubwa kuchangia zaidi serikali yao.

Naamini kwa kuwa Raisi wetu Jakaya Kikwete yuko huko Marekani, hotuba ya Obama itamfanya aelewe kile CHADEMA walichokuwa wanatetea katika Bunge la Bajeti kuwa wabunge walipie kodi mapato yao yote na baadhi ya posho wanazolipwa watumishi wa umma (hususani viongozi) ziondolewe. Naamini vile vile kwa kuwa Tanzania tu watu wa kuiga, hata lile wazo la kusamehe kodi Posho wanazolipwa watumishi wa umma litafutwa kwani wanaopokea hizo posho ndio wenye mapato makubwa na walistaili kulipa kodi kubwa zaidi ya wenye mapato madogo kama walimu, manesi n.k.

Hata hivyo sina uhakika kama CCM inafuata sera za Democratic au Republican; kama ni Republican nadhani CCM hawatakuwa tayari kuiga sera za kuboresha maisha ya walala hoi badala yake itaendelea tuu kukumbatia maslahi ya wale wenye kipato kikubwa huku wakikimbiza na mama lishe, wauza mboga, biashara za kifamilia n.k

"Middle-class families shouldn't pay higher taxes than millionaires and billionaires," he said. "It's hard to argue against that."

Mr Obama suggested a "Buffett rule", which would see Americans who earn more than $1m pay the same rate of tax as those who earn less.
The proposal refers to billionaire financier Warren Buffett, who has complained that he and his wealthy peers pay relatively less tax than the people who work for them. Many high-income Americans benefit from tax loopholes that see earnings on investment taxed at lower rates than wages.
On Sunday Republican Paul Ryan, chairman of the House budget committee and a proponent of deep cuts and no tax rises, described Mr Obama's plans as "class warfare".

The president referenced Mr Ryan's criticism on Monday, justified his tax-and-cut package by saying simply: "It's not class warfare, it's math."
