Helpdesk specialist
We are seeking a dedicated, self motivated and highly organized Helpdesk Specialist to join the IT Department. The successful applicant will join a team of qualified IT Personnel at Bulyanhulu mine site who will support and carry out all duties assigned by the company.
Reporting Line: IT System Administrator
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; 1000km inland from Dar es Salaam; Shinyanga
Regional, Kahama District.
Work Schedule: Rotational Status, (8 weeks on 4 weeks off)
The principle duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide 1st Level system Administration support to the site
To provide coverage for support calls and ensure the calls are actioned accordingly
Site TV Signal administration and troubleshooting
DSTV Portable Dish installation, configuration and troubleshooting for end users
Site Public Addressing (PA) system administration and installation
Provide support to users on installation and orientation of software
Backup all data daily
Recover data from backup and archive tapes as required
Maintain technical support documentation in accordance with Procedures
The successful applicants must have the following qualifications/skills:
Advanced level certificate of secondary education and IT Diploma holder
Previous experience in the same position will be an added advantage
Ability to prioritize heavy workload
Relate to all levels of the organization
Continually promote safety in the work place
Good communication skills in English and Swahili
