Headache is a common pain. It can happen at any age and can often be the result of your lifestyle. As pain is your body's way of saying 'HELP', if you can find out the cause of your headaches and learn how to deal with it, you can usually cut down the number of headaches you get and how painful they are.

There are several common types of headaches.

Tension Headache
Stress, worry and anxiety can cause pain at the back of your neck or across the top of your forehead. It can feel like a band around your head or weight on top of your head. Working in the same position for many hours (such as using a computer) may make a tension headache worse and last longer.

Migraine
Migraine pain commonly occurs on one side of the head and when severe, may throb in time with your pulse. If your headache is a migraine, you may not be able to bear light, noise or strong smells. You may also feel sick and sometimes vomit. Some people have warning signs before a migraine starts, such as flashing lights or numbness and tingling in their arms, legs or face.

Cluster Headache
Severe pain occurs behind one eye or on one half of the head, with redness and watering of the eye and blockage of the nostril on that side. It can last for 10 minutes to two hours and may occur again several times in 24 hours, often waking the person from sleep. These headaches occur in bouts (clusters) usually lasting for weeks or months and are separated by pain free periods of months or years.

Sinus Headache
Blocked sinuses cause pain above the eyebrows, between the eyes and in the cheekbones. The pain is worse when waking up or bending over.

IMPORTANT: Consult your doctor if;
1. Your headache is not relieved by the self-care tips on this card or lasts for more than 24 hours.
2. Your headache starts after exercise, sex, straining or coughing.
3. You get drowsy, confused, have trouble remembering things have a fever, joints and muscle pains, a stiff neck, loss of balance, or sight problems with your headache.
4. You have a sudden, new, severe headache.
5. Your headache occurs after a head injury.
6. Your headache comes back and is more severe.

CAUSES
Some people find that certain things start (trigger) their headaches. Triggers aren't the same for everyone and they can be different for the same person at different times. Triggers include;
1. Stress, tension.
2. Hormonal changes e.g. periods, periods, pregnancy, the oral contraceptive pill hormone replacement therapy.
3. Coffee withdrawal, too much alcohol, fasting, missing meals, too little or too much sleep.
4. Glare or cold, windy weather, some medicines.
5. Stuffy, smoke-filled rooms.

TAKE CARE TO:
1. Use a chart or calendar to keep a simple daily record of your activities and headaches to find your trigger factors.
2. Avoid trigger factors.
3. Have someone massage your tense muscles.
4. Plan ahead - rearrange activities to remove stress, let others help.
5. Learn to relax -
6. Exercise regularly.
7. Eat regular healthy meals.
8. Get regular sleep.
9. Be prepared for hormonal changes.
10. Wear sunglasses to reduce glare.
11. Drink 6-8 glasses of water each day. Check with your doctor first if you have kidney or heart problems.
12. Drink plenty of water before going to bed if you have had too much alcohol.
13. Have a regular break if you work in the same position all day.

MEDICINES
1. Simple pain relievers can help e.g. paracetamol, aspirin, ibuprofen
2. For sinus area, use an inhalation or a decongestant).
3. Your doctor may prescribe other medicines for severe headaches or migraines.
4. Take the right dose of medicine. Your doctor and pharmacist will tell you how much

Natumaini hapa tuna madaktari bingwa pia mnaopitia uwanja huu ambao mnaweza kunisaidia.

Nimekuwa nasumbuliwa na maumivu ya kichwa kwa muda mrefu. Nimepewa sababu nyingi na madaktari lakini sijaridhika nazo. Aidha niliwahi kuambiwa tatizo ni kichwa cha "migraine" ambapo nilipewa dose ambayo haikufua dafu. Kichwa hiki kimekuwa kero kwangu japo ni vigumu kuelezea kinaumaje. Yani upande wa mbele wa kichwa wakati mwingine unakuwa wa moto SANA na mishipa inakuwa imenitoka juu ya nyusi.

Nimewahi kusoma hapa JF kwenye topic hii na kukuta maelezo ambayo nilijaribu kuyafuatilia lakini hayajasaidia kwa kiwango kikubwa japo yalinisaidia kwa muda flani ila maumivu yamerejea.

If maji hayajakusaidia ... hasa before intake of anything in the morning .. b'se this helps to clean the stomach as a dirty stomach pia inacause headache .. then ni macho ... kama huvai mawani already then visit the optician ... if unavaa then power imechange you still have to see the doctor ... otherwise it can also be pressure .... best advise muone daktari as soon as possible

Ila haina tiba zaidi. Haina madhara zaidi.
tafuta giza, hewa safi basi inapita baada ya masaa hadhaa.
ila kama si yenyewe basi fuata maelekezo ya naimaomari.

Umejaribu kutumia Excedrin Migraine? Hii ndio inakata mizizi yote ya fitina ya migrane.

Mkuu hebu jaribu kucheki macho, unaweza ukakuta unasumbuliwa na tatizo la macho so unahitaji miwani ya macho (ya kusomea) au unahitaji miwani ya kuzuia mwanga mkali.

Pia, jaribu kwenda hospitali ukapime blood volume, manake ni kawaida mtu kuumwa kichwa sana na kujisikia kuchoka sana pale unapokua na damu nyingi kupita kipimo cha kawaida, au unapopungukiwa na damu pia.

Ingwaje mimi sio daktari lakini nakushauri kujaribu hayo mambo mawili kwanza halafu utupe majibu kama bado kichwa kinauma.

...bahati mbaya watu wengi wanapoumwa kichwa hawajui/hawakumbuki kuumwa kichwa ni dalili tu ya ugonjwa au tatizo fulani, mfano;

*kuna wengine wasipokunywa chai (hasa ya rangi) wataumwa kichwa

*wengine wakiwa stressed wanaumwa kichwa

*wengi wakipata malaria, flu, nk wanaumwa kichwa

*wenye matatizo ya kuona pia wanaumwa kichwa

*dalili za mwanzo za stroke ni kuumwa kichwa

*ukiwa na hangover utaumwa kichwa

Pole Invisible. Jaribu kucheki na damu pia. Sometime ikiwa nyingi au pungufu inaleta matatizo ya kichwa, do the scan - madaktari msaidieni inaitwaje...where they check full head, brain etc.

In the modern world, artificial lighting reduces darkness exposure to typically eight or fewer hours per day all year round. Even low light levels inhibit melatonin production to some extent, but over-illumination can create significant reduction in melatonin production. Since it is principally blue light that suppresses melatonin, wearing glasses that block blue light in the hours before bedtime may avoid melatonin loss. Use of blue-blocking goggles the last hours before bedtime has also been advised for people who need to adjust to an earlier bedtime, as melatonin promotes sleepiness.

Moja, Wewe ni mtumiaji wa computer sana.... nina amini matumizi marefu ya computer screen, haswa aina ya CRT yanaweza kukufanya uwe na maumivu ya kichwa. Katika kutafuta sababu za kuumwa kichwa, naomba ujaribu kutotumia screen kwa muda wa siku kama 10 hivi mfululizo, this includes watching TV.

Pili, Naamini wewe unatumia sana simu ya mkononi, mobilephone. Na inawezekana wala hautumii headset au vile vi-bluetooth vya siku hizi... kwa hiyo simu unakuwa nayo kwenye sikio kwa muda mrefu. Again, katika kutafuta sababu za maumivu ya kichwa, jaribu kuacha kutumia simu ya mkononi, haswa kwa kuiweka kichwani kwa siku kama 14 hivi, ili kujua kama ni simu ndiyo inayosababisha..... Swala hili linanipeleka kwenye namba tatu.

Tatu, pahala unapoishi au kufanyia kazi au pahala unapopoa, je kuna mlingoti wa wa mitambo ya kurushia mawasiliano?... Swala hili na la pili vinahusiana na mambo ya electromagnetic waves. Wanasayansi bado wanafanya utafiti kuhusiana na hizi speculation. Lakini mimi nina uhakika na simu za mikononi, ya kwamba nikiiweka sikioni muda mrefu, kichwa kina chemka... hiii siongopi hata kidogo.... ndiyo maana matumizi yangu ya simu na hakikisha sipitilizi. Nimechunguza na kutathimini mimi mwenyewe kuhusiana na maumivu ya kichwa.... mara nyingi kinaponipata, jana yake inakuwa nilikaa kwenye simu ya mkononi kwa muda mrefu.

Nne, milingoti yenye umeme mkali, national grids; again, kwa namna fulani hivi naamini zinarusha electromagnetic waves ambazo zinaweza kuathiri miili yetu.

Naomba kuishia hapa. Hope utafanikiwa kutatua tatizo la kichwa, walau basi kujua chanzo.

Remedies zipo za aina nyingi, nyingine zinahusiana na lifestyle... Hicho kichwa kama kimeanza toka utotoni ambako naamini hukujihusisha sana na computer au TV then majaribio haya hayatakuwa na maana. Hata hivyo, hata kama ulijihusisha na computer na TV utotoni, saa nyingine madhara yake hayaonekani moja kwa moja hadi hapo umri unapokua... I don't, these are not scientific researches by steved.. but they are simply theories. It's ya choice son...unaweza kujaribisha, utakuwa si ujiko kwangu kwa kuleta research hizi... bali ni maombi yangu tu miye upone, kwa njia zozote zile... AMEN! ;)

Wala hakuna tafsida ..its chocolate as in chocolate..plain
meaning kabisa. With all the prayers from goodwishers hapa JF...His Almighty atakuponesha tu.
