DJURGÅRDEN DEFINITE LATE
Jonathan Berg made the season debut, and equalized to 2-2 on a very beautiful way.
It was a bit strange match when faced Allsvenskan Gefle IF colleague Djurgårdens IF in a friendly match on Skytteholms IP on Sunday.
Gefle put up with a bit inexperienced and newly composed midfield, and after only one quarter had to be reshuffling substantially in the team after yet another unfortunate injury. Daniel Leino started the match as a central midfielder but was deleted after one quarter.
- An expected cruciate ligament injury, noted trainer Pelle Olsson after the game. Very sad, of course, but we may see the beginning of the week how bad it is.
Trist understood to Daniel himself, and for Gefle IF, the injury list has already been slow during the preseason. Now got Pelle and Urban experiment on the team when Leino was deleted. Sebastian Late Tore came in and was playing on an unfamiliar right-back spot and Daniel Bernhardsson had to leap up in central midfield.
Djurgarden was also 1-0 in stage immediately after the injury Leino, and just eight minutes later it was time for 2-0 on penalties after Sena Store precipitated Michael Owen in the penalty area right corner.
- We started with a team of players in unfamiliar positions, and it was not easier when we had to move on after the change. Unaccustomed positions and unfamiliar relationships, yet we managed to get by me to pause.
Even so well that Gefle reduced to 2-1 by a very beautifully struck free kick by Jonas Lantto over the wall and into the right corner. Lantto was spirited, and very near to also acknowledge a volley but Dambo Pa Touray did a really sharp on the rescue.
- First half night of 2-2 in målchanser, but they scored on their positions and we are at one of our two.
In the second half, Djurgården took over the game and had a great ball possession the first 20 minutes. A straffmiss by Youssef, or rather, a penalty save by Hugosson, was the closest Djurgården got a third goal in that period.
- They played well, but we still had a pretty good eye on them. It felt like our time in the match would come, and then there was of course too.
Jonathan Berg replaced Lantto after just over an hour's play, his first appearance in the game context, this winter. Barely ten minutes later said Berg on one fine performance. He took down the ball on his chest just outside the penalty area and drilled the ball into the far corner with a lovely right result.
- Since we had a good time and was hot and sharp when we came to attack. Really close, it was when James Frempong struck a post that Mikael Dahlberg is very close to being first to first post.
A home defender was centimeter before and stamped out ball to the corner. And shortly afterwards settled the home team with a bit of a slumpmål, a free kick found its way into Gefle PENALTY, and after a bit of uproar came the ball to Christer Youssef who could easily make the case.
- We can draw many lessons from this match. It was useful to see the team like this, in the three tiodigare matches has seen almost surprisingly stable out.
- Now the division of labor was not entirely clear and precise, and there were many individual decisions. Decisions that were sometimes right and sometimes were wrong. And it would be almost a bit odd if we acted properly with so many new players, and also many of the unfamiliar positions.
A not so close-Gefle-law dropped, a bit unfortunate in the final stages when the match seemed to go into a draw, against a moving aggressively and Djurgarden.
But margins were not at Gefle side, it was so near to Mikael Dahlberg instead ruled the match to Gefle advantage just before the 3-2-target.
Now waiting for new game already on Wednesday evening at Strömvallen when expectant Superetta team IK Brage comes to visit. And we are also awaiting a decision on the seriousness of knäskadan Daniel Leino is.
