The Forum for Democratic Change party president, Dr Kizza Besigye, yesterday failed to appear on a Moroto-based radio after the show was cancelled by the Resident District Commissioner. Dr Besigye, who is on a tour of Karamoja region, was to appear on the Moroto-based Nenah FM yesterday from 7pm to 9pm, but received the notice of cancellation on Saturday. The radio station had prior to the cancellation been running adverts about the programme. The party spokesman, Mr Wafula Oguttu, who is accompanying Dr Besigye, said the Shs1.2 million the party had paid for the show was refunded.
