Hapa ndio huwa nashindwa kuwaelewa most of these recruiting firms haswa hapa Afrika, kuweka kigezo cha masters kwa kazi ya software engineering ni njia moja ya kupoteza muda. Most software engineers akipata degree ya kwanza baada ya hapo wengi hujiongeza kwenye maujuzi ambayo yapo mengi sana, huna muda tena wa kurudi chuo ukafuate masters.
Asilimia ndogo sana ya developers ndio hutumia muda kufuata masters.
Halafu naona jamaa wameweka "Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in English", huko kwenu Tanzania kingereza hamkipendi kwa kigezo kwamba kujua kingereza sio uwezo wa kutumia akili, sasa matangazo kama haya huwafungia watu wengi sana.
Anyway ni fursa nzuri kwa atakayefaulu.

Yah, so the reason behind was balancing with the required knowledge but the actually masters cert paper isn't necessary, kama candidate ana at least 70% of the required knowledge. Another reason being, equal opportunity kwa candidates from all current subsidiaries ( France, Belgium, Tanzania na Zambia ), basically its just acting as a filter, so if a candidate doesn't have a masters but still confident that s/he has what we want then that is exactly what we are looking for!

I agree with most of what you say, in fact, i think the best candidate out of this won't even have a masters. But as you know, at some point university rewarded papers qualifies for the best filters. But let me see can kuna changes zinaweza fanyika. Regarding communication, aisee outstanding is very important for communication out side the subsidiary(and there will be alot), in that case, English is the main Language for communication across all subsidiaries (not even French though its a french company).
 
Masters? Kwa disciplines technical hivyo? Hapana. Nakataa.

Hakuna mtu experienced in all that ambaye atabother kwenda kusoma Masters.

In fact, hata kumkuta aliye unemployed ni ngumu.

If you want a proper developer, ondoa kigezo cha elimu and just test on skills.

Kuna baadhi ya sifa zimetajwa humo ndani ambazo sio rahisi kumpata mtu wa namna hiyo hana ajira, labda ifanyike poaching, yaani mdau apatikane aliyeajiriwa sehemu nyingine na anatafuta green grass. Sema ni fursa nzuri sana, hii mtangaziane baina yenu huko, ni fursa inayoweza kusaidia mhusika aishie kuwa very professional and marketable hadi kimataifa.
Kama vipi itangazwe EAC ndio ndugu zangu Wakenya watume maombi humo hehehehe!!!

Halafu usaili wa Google huwa sio mchezo, wale jamaa hukagua msaili mpaka basi, hauwezi kwenda kwao umekariri vitu ukategemea wakuajiri, yaani vyeti vyako au kukariri havitokusaidia, lazima ujiandae tena sana, wao huangalia uwezo wako wa kudadavua mambo, ubunifu na utashi wako na jinsi gani unapenda unachokifanya.

Vijana hunijia na vyeti rundo, lakini nikiuliza mtu aonyeshe mradi wowote ambao amewahi kuufanya yeye kama yeye hata kama bado hajapata fursa ya kuajiriwa sehemu, yaani akiwa mwenyewe kama kuna software yoyote amewahi kuwaza kuihusu, akapambana nayo kuanzia mwanzo mpaka mwisho, hapo ndio huwa mtihani, wengi wanakuambia kuhusu ile college project aliyotumia kuwasilisha kwa wahadhiri, lakini baada ya chuo hajawahi kushughulika tena.

Njoo huku Quora waliko wasaili wa Google wenyewe wanakuambia nini wao hukagua, vyeti ni muhimu lakini sio kigezo pekee yake, kama huna hawakutupi nje wanakuskliza tu.

Yes, you can get any job you like at Google without a degree. I sat in on a hiring committee session the other day and the recruiter told me about someone with no degree who got extremely high marks on all the interviews except one. The committee looked at the one low-scoring interview, tossed it because it was a bad question, and hired the person.

The real question is, can you get an interview at Google without a degree? You'll need something to show why you are more qualified than the other 999 people applying for the same job. That might be work experience or some other accomplishments.
