Our client, a reputable and fast growing private Commercial Bank is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and competent Tanzanian personnel to fill in the following vacant position available at its headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
POST: FINANCE MANAGER


THE ROLE
The Finance Manager is responsible to the Chief Manager - Finance and Administration for proper maintenance of the bank's books of accounts according to the bank's laid down procedures, NBAA and International
Accounting Standards as well as Bank of Tanzania Prudential Guidelines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In relation to Accounting Controls and Management Information system
• Ensuring that proper accounting system has been established and maintained.
• Ensuring that the bank's books of accounts are properly maintained according to established accounting standards.
• Checking the day books to ensure that all the day's vouchers have been accurately posted.
• Preparing Annual Budget and monitoring its implementation to ensure that both the income and expenditure budgets are always within the approved levels,
• Reporting to the Board on a quarterly basis, implementation of the plan and giving reasons for any big deviations from the budget to actual results realized.
• Ensuring the preparation and timely submission of returns and financial statements to the Bank of Tanzania.
• Liaising with the Bank of Tanzania examiners! Auditors on the Examination! Audit of the bank's books.
• Ensuring Bank of Tanzania Examiners' queries/recommendations are rectified or replied expeditiously.
• Ensuring that procurement of stationery and other assets are strictly done within the approved budget.

GENERAL
• Ensuring the economical and efficient management of the unit.
• Ensuring that safety and security of all bank assets are maintained at all times.
• Ensuring that an up-to-date inventory of the bank's assets is maintained.
• Ensuring proper training of staff under his/her jurisdiction.
• Attending to any other duty as may from time to time be assigned by his/her superiors.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Holder of CPA (T) or its equivalent, and registered with NBM
• Post Graduate' Degree In finance/banking will be an added advantage
• At least having five years experience of which three years should be in Banking or Financial Institutions
