Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina condemned the incident, saying it reflects a society that is losing its moral values. "If a student can be thrown out of a moving PSV for being unable to pay Sh20, may the good Lord have mercy on us," she said.
Sadly, this is not an isolated case. Earlier this year, Joseph Mureithi died after allegedly being pushed from a moving matatu on the Nairobi-Namanga Highway following a fare dispute. In another widely publicized case, Gilbert Kimani reportedly lost his life after being thrown from a matatu on Thika Road over a Sh30 balance disagreement.
