A wolf's sense of smell is literally 1,000,000 times greater than a human's, meaning they can smell prey from a mile away. A wolf's jaw pressure is also 1,500 pounds per square inch, versus a human's, which is only 100-200 pounds per square inch.
Yet despite these facts, there has never been a recorded case of healthy, wild wolf attacking a human (they are more likely to run away if they smell you in their territory).
