EYE SPY:Bongo illiteracy created deliberately!

THIS DAY
DAR ES SALAAM
I have been thinking why have our education standards fallen so pathetically? After deep deliberation I have come to realise that one should not think this is an accident. This is no accident. The thing has been deliberately crafted by most of our legislators and other politicians.
Who is the easiest man to lie to, manipulate and control? An uneducated person, of course. You can tell anything to a guy who has never seen the insides of a decent classroom. He will believe all that bull-crap!
Look how the politicians lied to us in all the last elections. The masses of poor, most uneducated Tanzanians swallowed the lies hook, line and sinker. They were told that there will be millions of jobs. It never happened.
The people were told that the candidates were in first name terms with God Almighty himself. They believed that crap. They were told that the government will build roads to heaven. The people swallowed it.
It's cool when the vast majority of the population remain in the dark. You can rob tonnes of money from EPA at the BoT and no one will ask you. They will not ask you in the first place. They will hardly know if there is any money in the first place! Bank? What is a bank?
If the poor, uneducated fellow needs money he will gladly sell his own kid. If it's a woman, and even some men they will sell their bodies. Come elections and you give him a T-shirt, or a pair of khanga and a cap, he will vote for you. If you are a politician you could add and slaughter a cow. A few beers and a bit of nyama choma and the illiterate dum dum is all yours!
A buddy of mine came over from the Lake Victoria region. I asked him the psychology of condoning criminal acts by some legislators caught with their hands on the cash-tiller. It seems that the common people live for now. Give me beer and nyama choma and I am yours!
But that is what most politicians love. It's very easy to manipulate such people and the legislators nod to this. The politicians also use the poor dum dum as cannon fodder come election time. For a few coins they will cheer themselves hoarse for the bwana mkubwa.
The late Mzee Mwalimu Nyerere (RIP) saw this from afar. He taught again and again that education is a light. You go into a dark room and switch on the light and you 'see'.
Some of us received primary and secondary education for free. Even the Chuo Kikuu was free. In fact you got paid money for attending college.
But now all is kaput. Our rulers have turned their backs on this pillar of society. I mean, I can't understand it when there are ex-standard seven kids who can't read! The entire education system is a disaster. Kids are not going to school.
Not the kids of the ruling political establishment, of course. They will literally murder so that they get their totos to schools abroad. You can easily see the big picture.
Once bwana mkubwa gets his kids to school, he will start preparing his sibling for a cushy job in banking or high commerce. Some names of some MPs, still with baby-fat and with their baby-faces are sons of former presidents, ministers and former big shots. You can see them performing on TV.
