DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work from ladders, scaffold, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical Wiring, equipment, and fixtures;
• Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes;
• Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications;
• Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets;
• Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects;
• Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services;
• Provide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators, placing flares;
• Preparing and supervising the implementation of preventive maintenance schedule for the section and advise accordingly;
• Keeping and updating technical reports, drawings and other documents;
• Conducting daily inspection of all buildings;
• Performs other work related duties as assigned;
• Must be able to work flexible hours;
• To prepare periodic reports on the status of electrical systems management in the Corporation; and
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must be a holder of either Diploma, Certificate program, Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or equivalent qualifications in the relevant field from a recognized institution; Working experience of at least three years in relevant field from a reputable organization will be an added advantage.
