1. Carrots are good for the eyes.

4. Water is good for the kidneys.
5. Cabbage is good for the liver.
6. Cucumber is good for the skin.
7. Oranges are good for the colon.

1.Carrots contain antioxidants and are very good for the eyes. They are a very rich source of vitamin A. Vitamin A can help prevent the formation of cataracts and macular degeneration, which are amongst the leading cause of blindness in the world.

2. Ginger also has antiviral and antibacterial properties as such it can help in easing chest congestion, it achieves this by drying out excess mucus and stimulating removal of its buildup.

3. Avocado is good for your heart health. Avocado contain antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and load of dietary fibers. All these are good for your heart health. Also avocado can help improve your cholesterol profile.

4. Water is very good for the kidneys. It can help prevent kidney stones, it can help prevent crystalluria (cloudy urine due to presence of crystals), it also help reduce the risk of UTIs (urinary tract infection) as it makes you urinate more. And many more. Just drink water please.

5. Cabbage is a cruciferous vegetable, it contains a natural compound known as 'Indole-3 carbonile' which is an antioxidant, this antioxidant helps in detoxifying the liver and it can help control non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).

6. You ever wonder why people at the beach put slice of cucumber on their eyelids. Use the cucumber “face mask”? It’s bcos it is very good for the skin. It helps improve and hydrate the skin. It aids acne-prone skin and soothes irritation.

7. Eggs are good for your brain health. Egg yolks contain choline which is good for your brain. Choline help reduce inflammation and improve brain function.

8. Oranges are an excellent source of vitamin C which specifically helps in reducing the risks of COLON CANCER as it helps get rid of the free radicals that might cause damage to your DNA and body.

Finally, when going for fruits or vegetables, go for fresh ones. They’re the best.

In Tanzania most of the fruits we eat are home grown and not modified. Still it’s important you know that homegrown fruits (natural fruits) are better than modified ones.
