Nigeria and Ghana central banks have initiated launching of digital currencies, what could be the impact of having an east african digital coin serving the larger eastafrican region.

the east african countries can't make it due to greedy among ourselves, to overlook for what ever happen
kenya is the most corrupt country that could leads to the most holders of coins from them

The same thoughts we had in back years almost 3 yeas have been passed now after a lure of initiating east africa coin and the expected leading ones in africa ,CEO with his kwakoo team from kenya landed in Tanzania collecting a lot of money from novice cryptos believers even me i fell to a trap got scammed by kwakoo. they had an office in mlimani city fully of Tanzanians were worked as employees .coin called ONYXCOIN

Big promotions accompanied with seminars a country wide .fully of hopes one day we shall wipe what we sowed

weird ceo experienced extravagancy uses the collected money to buy a new model car and opening juice factory for himself instead to list it in many more exchanges and looking forward on how increase it's userbility .the only exchange coin is listed is latoken that totally ridiculous

A solid idea! I support digital currency for EAC, it will work better and an easy option for the proposed monetary union..,

Single currency inawork vizuri kukiwa na economies zenye ziko level moja Kama E.U ,lakini huku E.A tukiwa na currency moja italeta shida juu hatuko level moja in terms of economy for example tukiwa na a single currency yenye Ni strong ita affect country kama Uganda yenye inahitaji a weaker currency compared to Kenya and vice versa tukiwa na a single weak currency ita affect Kenya vibaya lakini it's saidia nchi Kama Uganda.
So in conclusion we first need to be in the same level economic wise in order to start thinking about a single currency.

East African countries can have digital currencies but not as the only transactional medium of exchange. It can still operate side by side with the shilling. It could be used in areas where there is a need, or shortage of USD
