Very sad, rumor spread all over the world that Princess Di was murdered by the Royal Family. I dont imagine, how Prince William will be felt once these news will come over him. What impressions will he be having when looking at his father and his grand ma.

Assassination of high profile person in the community,is the matter of national security,
This MI5 agent,would not be allowed to say let alone confess,he would have been "taken out"to tie loose ends,if there was a slight evidence,that he will talk about the classified matter.
British government,through its intelligence apparatchik,MI6,Scotland yard,GCHQ,would not have allowed that,

What intelligence agency can foretell what a patient in a hospital bed is thinking. You are also underrating the British press independence and investigative journalism and the public interest concept. Diana was a darling of the British common people even though she a royal!

The intelligence has this thing namely tracking. Hence they can foretell an individual's inclinations... they would know if an ex operative planned to locally leak secrets to the domestic media.
