I said unexpected because nobody needs to have such a president in power,an arrogant man, cynical and who doesn't care about humanity and dignity.
A selfish person who is incapable of envisaging the future, he thinks today, will continue being today even after 10 years to come.

We do not need the regular respondents here at jf. We need brains. We need part of our Pres. We need the discipline he brings to the delivery of services. But we need democracy, justice, freedom of expression as well. It is not an either or, it is both. You cannot have development without freedom. That is what Nyerere fought for. Uhuru wa mawazo, uhuru wa kushiriki katika maendeleo yetu. Otherwise what is development if you cannot speak your mind freely????

They thought that they would tame him through the party but he has successfully turned it into a cheerleading squad!

Former leaders are themselves not that clean, a lot of bogus deals clinched during their tenure are like noozes on their necks waiting for them to misbehave and suffer consequences. They can't and will never utter a word fearing for their safety!

The only force that can stop the bulldozer is a force greater than his, an external force, the likes of a force that forced Mwalimu to vacate the office!. The Intervention of Donnors!.Thats why Lissu's crusade is sending chills accross the dictator's spine

Kuna mtu amepandishwa kizimbani kwa kuandika negatively kumhusu mtu anayeitwa Jiwe!, hivyo to make it official Jiwe is an official name of someone big shot in the state, hivyo hata kuongelea jiwe, angelea kwa heshima na adabu, kama jina Jiwe limekuwa official, then soon wata officiate jina la Kichaa.

Problem is people have different notions of development. To you one aspect is freedom of thought and I am with you on that. But to the primitive minds it mostly new material things. Politicians know that . They speedly procure such items, decorate them with catchwords designed for marketing and foister them onto the people as development. Add the normal bands of cheerleeders and yes men and hey presto! You have your development. Now you and a few others may want true long term and all round development but you are in the minority brother and if you persist in raising your voice you soon become Henry Ibsen's Dr Stockman to wit, an enemy of the people.
