A stupid member of parliament is agitating for their wages to be raised to match with their counterparts in Kenya and South Africa.

Needless to say, this country is currently undergoing through a tough period marked by a declining purchasing power of most of the people as this is happening against the soaring cost of living that has forced many households to live below poverty line.

It defeats reasoning for somebody overwhelmed with ego to put his personal interests above the national interest. However, this shows how a member of parliament who is a product of the bungled and massively rigged election can be.

This reminds us of the importance of organizing a free and fair elections so that we can get the true, committed and dedicated representatives of the people who can effectively pursue the agenda of their electorates rather than going to parliament only to turn into mercenaries.
