    Kitambi ni hali ya kiafya ya mtu mnene ambapo mafuta ya ziada mwilini huongezeka eneo la tumbo kwa kiasi kikubwa.

    Mtu akiwa na kitambi anapata athari kubwa ikiwamo kupungua kwa umri. Katika karne hii, hili ni mojawapo ya tatizo kubwa la kiafya duniani. Hata hivyo, tatizo la kitambi kiafya linarekebishika.

    Katika mawazo ya kizamani na hata sasa katika baadhi ya nchi mtu akiwa na kitambi anaonekana ni tajiri.

    Tatizo la unene na vitambi litazidi kuongezeka ikiwa serikali, hususan wananchi wenyewe hawatachukua hatua za dharura na mipango madhubuti kulikabili. Tatizo hili limezidi kuwa kubwa kwa vijana wengi miaka ya hivi karibuni kwa sababu ya aina ya maisha wanayoishi (lifestyle), ambapo hula vyakula na vinywaji vyenye wanga kwa wingi (junk foods) kama vile chips, pizza, soda, bia na hawana muda wa kufanya mazoezi, na hata kufanya shughuli ambazo zitaushughulisha mwili (mazoezi, kutembea umbali mrefu, kukimbia,kubeba mizigo). Ukiwa na kitambi, maana yake ni kwamba, unakula chakula kingi mno kuliko mahitaji ya mwili wako, hivyo kupelekea chakula/nishati ambayo mwili wako hauhiitaji kubadilishwa na kuwekwa katika mafuta (fat), na kuhifadhiwa katika maeneo ya tumbo lako.

    Vitambi vina madhara mbalimbali kiafya ikiwemo

    1.Kuongeza uwezekano wa kupata magonjwa ya shinikizo la damu na magonjwa ya moyo- Tafiti zinaripoti kuwa, mtu mwenye kitambi, yuko kwenye uwezekano mkubwa zaidi wa kupata magonjwa ya moyo, mara 5-10 zaidi ya mtu asie na kitambi

    2.Kuongeza uwezekano wa kupata magonjwa ya kisukari, saratani ya tumbo; watu wenye vitambi wana uwezekano mkubwa zaidi wa kupata ugonjwa wa kisukari kuliko wale wasio na vitambi.

    3.Kupunguza uimara wa mwili (physical fitness), na kumfanya mtu awe mzembe; mtu mwenye kitambi hana uwezo mkubwa wa kuwa na mwili ambao ni imara, na wenye kuhimili shughuli zinazohitaji nguvu na pumzi kama vile kukimbia, na hivyo kumfanya awe mzembe na goigoi

    Ili kuepukana na athari hiyo watu wahakikishe wanabadili namna wanavyoishi na milo yao. Wengi wana muda mchache sana wa kutayarisha vyakula visivyo na mafuta mengi majumbani mwao, hivyo wanakula nje zaidi, yaani kwenye hoteli na migahawa na matokeo yake ni kuwa na vitambi.

    Kuna wengi wanatambua athari za tatizo la unene na vitambi, lakini hawafanyi chochote kulirekebisha, hii inatokana na ukweli kwamba idadi kubwa ya watu hawajui maana halisi ya kuwa na afya njema.

    Watu wengi, hasa vijana wamekuzwa kwa kula chipsi, mikate na vyakula vya sukari,na si mbogamboga na matunda.

    Ukweli ni kwamba watu wengi hawafanyi mazoezi ya kutosha kama ilivyokuwa zamani hivyo, watu wenye vitambi wanaongezeka kila sehemu.

    Kwa ujumla, umri wa mtu mnene mwenye kitambi huwa pungufu kwa miaka 8 had 10 ukilinganisha na mtu mwenye umbo la kawaida.

    MAGONJWA

    Hii inatokana na ukweli kwamba uzito wa mtu husababisha magonjwa ya moyo, aina fulani ya kisukari, magonjwa ambayo huua mamilioni ya watu duniani kote. Kifupi ni kuwa ukiwa na mafuta mengi mno utakuwa kwenye hatari ya kukumbwa na magonjwa kama ya kupanda kwa presha, magonjwa ya moyo, kansa. Kuongeza uzito au kunenepa kunasababisha mwili ushindwe kupata sehemu ya kutosha ya kuhifadhi mafuta na hivyo kuanza kuyatunza mafuta hayo kwenye sehemu za ndani ya mwili, kuuzunguka moyo na ndipo matatizo yanapoanza.

    USHAURI WA KUJIKINGA NA KITAMBI
    1.Hakikisha unapata walau nusu saa kila siku ya kufanya mazoezi/kutembea umbali mrefu/kukimbia hadi utokwe na jasho; hii itakusaidia kuondoa mafuta ya ziada katika mwili wako

    2.Punguza kwa kiasi kikubwa matumizi ya vyakula vyenye mafuta mengi kama vile chips, vyakula vya kukaanga; pia punguza matumizi ya sukari; na hakikisha katika mlo wako unakula matunda na mboga za majani kwa wingi (inashauriwa kuwa uwioano wa chakula cha wanga na mboga za majani/matunda uwe nusu kwa nusu katika kila mlo wako)

    3.Achana na matumizi vinywaji vyenye sukari vya viwandani kama vile soda, pia epuka matumizi ya pombe hasa bia.

    Jitahidi uione nimeshawasiliana na modes waikuze, nakuomba umpelekee shemeji atoe kitambi ndoa izidi kunoga, tupunguze muda wa kutoa ushauri kwa matatizo ya ndoa.

    Kwa wewe hii dozi ni mara 3 kwa siku Fidel80 mara 2 hali sio mbaya sana kwake, Geof mara 1 kwa siku. George Porge mara 4 tena stage 2 ya lile baunsa leusi. Burn mara 1 pia yeye ndio anaanza kuharibika.
