The weakness shown by US over Tanzania poses important question of effectiveness’ comparison of measures implemented by two nations, putting into consideration that US economy ranks first in the world.
According to the article titled "The missing six weeks: how Trump failed the biggest test of his life" published by UK-based newspaper, The Guardian on March 28, the early U.S. response to the pandemic was slow, especially in regards to testing.
However, according to Daily News newspaper of February 1, Tanzania responded earlier before the importation of virus in that East African nation. The news revealed that the country had already installed her entry points with body temperature tests.
Tanzania closed all public and private schools and colleges a day after first case was reported, but US took four months to close such academic institutions.
