Cleopa Msuya proposes the formation of an African News Agency

Today at the African Leadership Forum 2014, Former Premiere Cleopa Msuya has proposed the formation of an Africa News Agency, working just like Al Jazeera of the Arab world.

In attendance were former presidents Olesegun Obasanjo (Nigeria), Festus Mogae (Botswana) and its host Benjamin Mkapa (Tanzania).

He says one of the problems facing Africa is the fact that we have no one on the ground telling the truth about the continent; telling the African narrative to a global audience from an African point of view.

Africa will only realize its economic potential only after getting rid of all the corrupt leaders now in office; it is grand corruption that is hindering the formation of credible institutions like the proposed PAN AFRICAN NEWS Agency. Once the Nyereres and Nkrumahs of yesteryears come to the fore it is then that Africa will witness the second liberation!!
