ISACA is not an educational institution but the governing body for the CISA, CISM, CGEIT and CRIS certification programs.
To view information on the CISA Certification Program including exam information, please visit Bulletin of Information (BOI). There are no requirements to take the CISA exam. To become CISA certified requires:
1.) Passing the CISA exam.
2.) 5 years of IS audit, control or security work experience.
1 year can be substituted with 1 year of information systems or financial audit work experience
2 years can be substituted with a bachelors degree or it's equivalent, 1 year can be substituted for a two-year degree.

CISM defines the core competencies and international performance standards that those who have information security management responsibilities must master.
You would be interested to know that ISACA's Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification has been selected as a finalist for the SC 2008 Award for "Best Professional Certification Program" and is ranked in the top five highest-paying certifications in Certification Magazine's 2007 salary survey.
When is the next CISM exam?
· 11 December 2010
· Registration for the exam will open in at the end of May at Exam Registration.

How do I become CISM certified?
1) Take and pass the CISM exam. There are no requirements to take the exam.
2) Submit your application for certification, including verification of five years of information security.
Three of the five years must be gained performing the role of an information security manager. Substitutions for work performed in the role of an information security manager are not allowed. However, a maximum of two years general information security work experience can be substituted for one of the following:
· CISA in good standing or
· CISSP in good standing or
· Post-graduate degree in information security or a related field
A maximum of one year general information security work experience may be substituted for one of the following:
· One full year of information systems management experience or
· One full year of general security management experience or
· Currently holding a skill-based or general security certification

Nice information but naona umecopy na ku paste, coz for now ulipaswa kuzungumzia exams zitakazofanyika june next yr but u r telling us about registration on may and exams on december.

Isaca conducts exams twice a year, june and dec.
 
Here are some advices that helped me pass the exam. Try to learn from any video course provider for CISM. Personally I did use CBT Nuggets. They are good and short. You can complete their Video Course for 12 hours. I did run the video course for 4 weekends in a month.

Additionally you should practice with the Exam Prep's there are a lot and pretty much all are the same. Personally I did use an app from app store called CISM Certified Information Security Manager - Exam Prep. It is very convenient and practical to have the practice exam in your hands at all time "I was literally practicing even when I went to the toilet" the benefits of technology.

You should be able to pass after all of this. I hope this was helpful enough.
