What you see above is a record-breaking illusion created by a 42-year-old Australian artist, Emma Hack.

Emma Hack is well-known for her legendary artwork of body-painted humans that merge visually to portray an illusional camouflage effects. According to reports, she developed her skills in the early 2000s, inspired by a painter named Florence Brodhirst.

The Australian based artist, Emma Hack has gotten a lot of attention from art lovers and collectors worldwide with her outstanding body art. In this particular painting, Emma used 12 male and 5 female models to form a wrecked vehicle. This artwork was made to support the "Motor Accident Commission of South Australia", MAC. It is ground-breaking work of art named " Body Crash".

The models were pilled onto one another and next to each other to portray the body of the car. According to Emma it took approximately 18 straight hours to design, which included the application of 5 to 6 layers of body paint on each model, setting up and posing in the required position.

These 17 models were painted in different colors, including black, blue, silver or white depending on the part of the car that is being portrayed. Emma Hack selected members of acrobatics teams, bodybuilders and athletes to achieve the required pose.

The athletes and bodybuilders apparently have high level of endurance, which enabled them to maintain these postures for as long as the painting lasted. Emma has made a lot of artworks and has sold many as well, with prices ranging from $100 to $7000 per painting.

Emma's popularity has grown through Europe, UK and U.S.A, she has worked with big artistic companies for luxury brands and the artistic community in general. She opened her own flagship studio and gallery in 2016 which has become a great attraction in Australia.
