Hapana Mkuu sidhani kama Tax Holiday ndiyo sababu ya celtel to rebrand its name.Coz before Celtel was formely known as Celtel International therefore Celtel Tanzania had to join its sister companies in Africa and the Middle East in adopting the brand name Zain as part of rebranding the entire African operations from Celtel.

Before, the Kuwait mobile operator was trading in 14 African markets as Celtel International.

This move is aimed at unifying the company's 22 operations to become one of the leading borderless networks in the world.

Sasa when you talk about Sheraton being Royal Palm from my past knowledge of this company is Sheraton failed to run the hotel therefore they had to sell it to Royal Palm therefore dont be astonished to hear it one day also being named Hilton Hotel.
The same thing applies to Novotel in Arusha which collapsed and it will soon be opened and be named Holiday Inn.

There is also one thing about rebranding. Zantel is an upcoming mobile provider in which Etisalat has acquired stakes and Etisalat being valued at USD 38.7 billion and positioned as the 219th largest company in the world and the largest telco in the Middle East and Africa by the Financial Times (FT 500) at the end of the first quarter may in my own 'speculations' rebrand Zantel.
Just prophesing what may take place in the future.

1. Tehetehe... sisi Watanzania bwana... I assure you kampuni hili liki-perform... jina pia utalipenda.

2. Zain linatokana na neno la kiarabu... lenye maana "Wonderful" ndivyo at least nimesikia... na ndio maana jamaa wanasema "the wonderful world"

Wonderful..!!

the name makes me thirsty despite being in arusha instead of making me want to make a phone call, sounds like ile juice from uae i tell you. Ila bora wao , has any one noticed adverts kny itv sabuni inaitwa nyundo, mara rungu. What is wrong with us, utalaumu mtu kuogoa sabuni za nje kwa mwendo huu kweli?

Ibrahim was employed by Sudan Telecom for a time, and later worked as the technical director for Cellnet, a subsidiary of British Telecom. In 1989 he founded MSI, a consultancy and software company, which was bought by Marconi in 2000. MSI had 800 employees, who owned approximately 30% of the stock at the point of its sale; Ibrahim says he gave employees stock as a form of bonus.
In 1998, MSI spun off MSI-Cellular Investments, later renamed Celtel, as a mobile phone operator in Africa.AND NOW HE HAS SOLD TO ARABS .

Sheraton, Royal Palm and Movenpick just manage hotels underneath their hotel chain network, they dont actually own the hotel. The hotel was owned by Manthiakis a Greek dude with vast interests in Tanzania who in past years sold the hotel to "i dont know who", the changing of hotel management naturally warrants a change in name and possibly company registration which could be a loophole being used for tax holidays.

...u have no idea wewe seems bado umelala na unakuja na porojio zako hapa bila aibu...kweli wajinga ndio waliwao!

Through communication wataweza kumuka vizuri Zain kwenye mawazo yetu na kutufanya tumsahau Celtel.

Kuhusiana na rangi tukumbuke Celtel last branding color was strong - and almost visible katika macho yetu - na ilikaa kiafrika afrika - udongo mwekundo (ardhi na watu wake) na njano kama (jua kali)

Kuhusiana na Zain iangaliye na utafsiri mwenyewe - kukusaidi angalia picha ya galaxy yetu ilivyo! mtunzi amesha kusaidiya kukuambia juu ya a wonderful world!
