POSITION: RELATIONSHIP MANAGER – CREDIT

Job purpose

The Relationship Manager – Credit position is accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.



Key Duties & Responsibilities

·Interview loan applicants to determine qualifications.

·Collect appraisal documentation (KYC, technical, financial and legal) and use it to prepare credit proposals for review by Credit Committees.

·Process and facilitate the disbursement of loans for new and existing customers.

·Process requests for non-funded facilities (Letters of Credit & Guarantees) in liaison with the Trade Finance Department.

·Manage the loan portfolio (in terms of growth and quality).

·Initiate and make follow-up to debt collection efforts for non-performing loans.

·Supervise Credit Officers to ensure that quality credit proposals are prepared and that their review is undertaken on a timely basis.

·Work closely with the Legal Department and the Central Disbursement Team to ensure that timely due diligence and security perfection is done, and that all post-sanction conditions have been met prior to disbursement of facilities.

· Support the Bank’s Debt Recovery Unit to ensure that requests relating to delinquent facilities e.g. interest stoppage, restructuring and refinancing, are processed in good time.

Candidate’s Qualifications, Knowledge and experience

·Bachelors’ degree in a Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business or other related subject

·Professional qualifications in CPA and Credit Management will be an added advantage

·Experience with business scoring systems is preferred

·At least 7 years’ experience in Credit administration or loan management in a financial institution

Desired Competencies

·Excellent interpersonal, selling and networking skills.

·Able to work independently, with minimum supervision.

·Demonstration of good levels of maturity

·Strong Leadership skills

·Team player and team developer.

·Good planning and organization skills.

·Good working knowledge of MS office suites.

·Ability to work under pressure and within set deadlines.

POSITION: BUSINESS GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (BRANCH MANAGER)

Job purpose
Reporting to the General Manager Operations, the role holder will be in charge of the overall leadership of the branch. They will be expected to aggressively drive the branch growth and profitability targets by identifying, developing and maintaining relationships with customers and agents as well as providing leadership to branch staff.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
·Responsible for business development and marketing activities for overall business growth

·Assessing key markets and business opportunities for bank’s products and services

·Formulating and implementing business development strategies and marketing plans

Intelligence gathering on customers, competitors and market trends through research

·Handling business inquiries and generating leads for possible sales, follow-up sales activity and proposal writing.

·Developing new revenue streams while optimizing income from existing lines through innovative marketing and rapid exploitation of changing customer needs and tastes.

·Growing the company’s market share by identifying new markets and creating unique customer products / services intimacy experiences

·Managing and monitoring branch budget

·Monitoring the existing business portfolio and new accounts performance.

·Provide leadership to achieve high performance by ensuring employee development, employee engagement and performance management to deliver organization objectives and goals.

·Identifying, implementing and benchmarking best practices in management

·Fostering partnerships and maintaining business relations with key industry players

·Work with other departments on product / service enhancement and development to ensure our customer are delighted.

·Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.

Candidate’s Qualifications, Knowledge and experience

Bachelors’ degree in Business, Economics or any other business related field

-Professional qualifications in Finance, Entrepreneurship, Sales, Marketing is desired

-At least 6 years’ experience in a business leadership position


Desired Competencies

·Good interpersonal skills with ability to build personal relationships with business community, customers, local community members, senior government officials and Staff

·Must have strong sales and marketing skills

·Must have developed good intercultural orientation and strong public relations skills

.Possess strong communication, negotiation, marketing, sales and administration skills
