A Japanese used car company called CM Management or CarPricenet (http://www.car-pricenet.com/)based in Osaka, Japan is a ROGUE company. Please BEWARE of this company and avoid transacting with them at all costs. If you don't heed to this free advice, you will be swindled just like my sister in law suffered a month ago.
A colleague helped his sister in law, Violet Daniel, to procure a car from a Company called CM Management or Carprice Company. This company, based in Osaka, gave them a very bad deal. They simply misrepresented facts and sold to them a 1998 model of Spacio instead of a 2002 model as shown on the proforma invoice. They took possession of the car in November, 2011 only to discover that its mileage was also misrepresented: the car had an actual mileage of 138,000 km when CM Management's Shojiro Fukushige said and indicated in the invoice that it had done a mere 71,000 km. Important gadgets were also removed by the shipper: car's stereo, jack, wheel spanner, spare tyre boot cover, etc. Records clearly showed that they were not stolen at the Dar Es Salaam Port.
This matter was raised to CM Management's Shojiro Fukushige and Jun Takemoto who were all along processing our purchase of the vehicle from the beginning. Although they admitted to this "mistake", they refused to consider paying compensation for the dumping fee that this car got subjected to because it was older that ten years. If Shojiro had informed them that the car was 13 years old and had done 138,000, they would not have agreed to buy it.
Sadly, there is no authority in Japan which can compel CM Management to pay compensation. Certainly, these victims can't resort to the Japanese court system. It will be too expensive. I urge you to refrain buying used cars from companies such as CM Management. Instead buy vehicles from credible used car dealers such as Autorec, Trust, CarJunction, Be Forward, Nichibo Motors and Rama DBK. Although CM Management is a real company, not fake company, with a registered office, unsuspecting buyers can't get them to pay compensation. The only weapon we have is to refrain from buying vehicles from it. We are informed that this is a small, family company with very little capital. It is sort of a husband and wife company. So, the only way they can sell is to offer VERY LOW prices and VERY LOW MILEAGES. But, when they deliver the car, that's when you realise that the YEAR and MILEAGE of the car was MISREPRESENTED. You end up paying dumping fee/excise duty because the car would certainly be older than ten years. The officials of this ROGUE, FRAUDULENT company are a man called Shojiro Fukushige and a woman called Jun Takemoto. Soon after you have discovered that you got swindled, one Shojiro Fukushige, would start pretending not to speak English after he had swindled the money. Before you pay the money, he will speak in English and assure you of the year, mileage and quality of the car.
