Audio spotlight may be the most radical technological development in acoustic since the coil loudspeaker was invented in around 1925. The audio spotlight will force people to rethink their relationship with sound, as the arrivals of the phonograph, the telephone and the Walkman have done before.

Invented by MIT researchers, this revolution in accoustic allows sound to be transmitted in a tight beam-just like light!

Play multiple soundtracs in a single space, without interference.

No headphones. Hands free, nothing for listeners to carry.

I saw this one time at Javis Jocob Center in Manhattan. It is a good thing to have. I like the technology too, it is top of the line.

Lilinijia wazo kwamba hii technology inaweza kutumika kama silaha. Hata hivyo, hii ni technology tofauti na inayotumika kwenye "sonic bullet"

Military applications have been reported such as a "sonic bullet" weapon that aims a highly-directed high-intensity sound wave, causing debilitating pain. However, these devices, such as LRAD, are really just high-powered bullhorns, and contrary to popular misconception, do not use ultrasound at all for sound generation, and instead use traditional loudspeaker elements (tweeters). This type of loudspeaker is entirely unrelated to this article.

There are no known active military applications of this technology.

Use in politics
There are rumors that this technology has been used to send information to candidates during live debates. The sharp sound gradient can be used to send information to a receiver without disturbing the nearby microphone. This was first reported during the infamous Romney Whisper.

This is very interesting news for sound lovers. I have BNO and it sounds good too, but sound beam is of the hook. Niliiona kwenye maonyesho pale CA.

It is a good stuf to have.
