ATCL kufufuka kisasa zaidi, kwa nguvu zaidi -- na kutawala tena soko!

First get a management team that knows how to run an airline. Rwanda, Uganda, and of course the Emirates airline went and got former British Airways management personnel.

Second, forget about the turbo-props like ATRs! Go for Regional Jets from Bombardier and Brazilian Embraer and Boeings!! You can get a lot of mileage from regional jets as flying within Tanzania as well as neighboring countries falls very nicely into their ranges. Plus, due to their sizes they make loading and unloading fast and simple as clients don't need to have lots of luggage.

Third, forget the long range routes for now until you stabilize the internal ones. If you do go for international routes within Africa e.g. Jo'burg then start small with the Boeing 737 Next Generation (-600/-700/-800/-900) After all, Boeing 737 is the most reliable aircraft the world has seen, a workhorse flying all over the world, and its technology is familiar in this country.

Fourth, streamline, layoff and fire the bloated workforce of ATCL with immediate effect. Those remaining should pull up their boot straps and wagangamae!

Fifth, in later years, to generate revenues, retrofit an older Boeing to fly cargo from east Asia and south west Asia (the Middle East)
 
Basically in this Country Their is No one is Thinking for the benefit of the others!! This is a Shame!! Just people are Concentrating in politics!! Always our leaders Fly abroad but Nothing they are Copying from Their trips for our future plan!! What a shame is This!! Look for public Transport (Priority for all!!) This is a mess in big cities like Dar es salaam!! But Now they are Taking priority for Airplane!! How Many people can afford for Air Transport? Simple Mathematics!! The answer is Few!! So Why don't we consider for the Majority? What a poor Plan is This!!! Do we Have leaders and Planners? Oh God Help Us!!

Ndugu Mkada kwa nchi maskini kama yetu inatakiwa kila dola iwekezwe kwenye sekta ambazo zitachochea ukuaji wa uchumi wa nchi na kuboresha maisha ya wananchi wengi wa hali ya chini. Hii wachumi wanaita "multiplier effect". Sioni kama huu mradi wa ATCL utachochea sekta yoyote ya kiuchumi nchini hasa kwa kuzingatia kuwa ni watu wachache sana wanaotumia usafiri huo nchini. Utafiti wa wataalamu unaonyesha kuwa bandari yetu na reli ya kati vina potential ya kuiingizia nchi pesa nyingi kuliko sekta nyingi za kiuchuni nchini ikiwemo hii madini. Kuna nchi kama Singapore ambazo maendeleo yao kwa kiasi kikubwa yalichochewa na uwepo wa bandari zinazofanya kazi kwa ufanisi. Kwa nini sisi tusiwekeze huko?

Lakini ukweli unabaki kuwa huwezi kuendeleza sekta ya usafiri wa nchi kavu bila kuwekeza kwenye reli. Kwenye nchi zilizoendelea reli ndio njia kuu ya usafiri wa mizigo na barabara zinasaidia tu kwenye usambazaji wa mizigo inayosafirishwa na reli. Ndio maana bandari zinajengwa na miundombinu ya reli ndani ili kurahishisha upakuaji, upakiaji na usafirishaji wa mizigo toka bandarini kuelekea sehemu mbalimbali. Hapa kwetu tunakwenda kinyume kabisa yaani tumeua kabisa reli halafu tunatarajia barabara zichukue nafasi ya reli kitu ambacho hakiwezekani. Jaribu tu kufikiria ni wananchi wangapi wa hali ya chini wangefaidikika na uwepo wa reli ya kati inayofanya kazi kwa ufanisi? Ni mamilioni.
 
Hawa ATCL wanaona threat yao kubwa ni Precision kabla ya kufikiria hata hao ma-giant kama Emirates, KQ, BA, SAA nk. Kwa hizo bei ulizotoa mkuu najua Precision wanaweza kuipata hata chini ya hapo maana they are good in bargaining lakini hawa jamaa zetu ATCL ninavyowajua, inaweza kununuliwa kwa mara nne ya bei hizo, kwani ni nani ana uchungu na mtaji!?
Nimeona pia jana CITIZEN TV habari za biashara kuwa Precision wako kwenye mchongo wa kuingia NSE (Soko la Hisa Nairobi) wakati hapa watu wanapiga 'majungu' kuwa walionunua shares za wameliwa!

Lile Shirika letu la Ndege, ATCL, lililokuwa mkao wa kifo, baada ya kuwa hoi bin taaban huku jeneza la kuizika rasmi likiwa limeishaandaliwa, hatimaye sasa litafufuka, kwa kuibuka kisasa zaidi, kwa nguvu zaidi na kurejea katika utawala wa soko la biashara ya ndege nchini (regain the past glory) katika kipindi kifupi kijacho.

Hayo yamebainishwa leo asubuhi na Kaimu Mtendaji Mkuu wa ATCL, Bw. Paul Chizi, katika mahojiano ya kipindi cha Jambo Tanzania, kinachorushwa hewani na TBC.

Huku akihojiwa na Mtangazaji mahiri kabisa wa TBC, Marine Hassan Marine, Bw. Paul Chizi amesema, baada ya ATCL kupewa mtaji mpya na serikali, sasa itajitegemea yenyewe na kwa kuanzia, itaanza na ndege zake mbili, moja ambayo ilikuwa kwenye matengenezo makubwa sasa imeshapona na imesharejea, na ya pili inakwenda kwenye matengenezo.

Bw. Chizi alitoa historia fupi ya ATCL tangu shirika lilipoanzishwa baada ya kuvunjika kwa iliyokuwa Jumuiya ya Afrika Mashariki, mwaka 1977, ATC ilikuwa na ndege 7, zikiwemo ndege mbili alizozirithi toka EA Airways, mwaka 1978, ilinunua ndege zake 5.

Akielezea kilichoiua ATCL ni zoezi la ubinafsishaji kwa Shirika la Ndege la Afrika Kusini, SAA, ulioliacha shirika hilo na madeni makubwa.

Marine Hassan alimbana zaidi Bw. Chizi, kuwa hata mara baada ya ubia huo na SAA kuvunjwa, mbona ATCL ilizidi kuzama, bwana Chizi alijibu majibu ya kichekesho eti kuwa "ni kawaida kwa baadhi ya mashirika ya ndege kufa, na kutolea mfano shirika la ndege la Uswissi, Swissair na lile la Italia, Alitalia kuwa yamekufa, hivyo sio ajabu kwa ATCL kufa!.

Marine alimbana zaidi kuwa kwa vile mashirika hayo aliyoyataja yamekufa, hivyo ndio sababu kweli ya shirika letu kufa!?. Bwana Chizi alisisitiza ndio, kama mashirika haya makubwa yamekufa, hiyo ni sababu tosha kwa nini ATCL isife!.

Mtangazaji Marine akazidi kubanana na Chizi, kuwa Tanzania sasa tuna mashirika binafsi ya ndege yenye mafanikio makubwa, akauliza, iweje mashirika binafsi yaliyokuwa hayana kitu, yafanikiwe, na shirika la umma lenye kila kitu life?!. Bwana Chizi alijibu kuwa hayo mashirika yaliyofanikiwa, yameweza kufanikiwa tuu kwa vile ATCL ilikuwa imekufa, maadam sasa imefufuka, sasa ATCL itarejea kwenye hadhi yake ya zamani!.

Marine Hassan akamdodosa bwana Chizi, jee ATCL itaweza vipi kuwarejesha abiria wake iliyowapoteza. Bwana Chizi amesema anaamini Watanzania wanalipenda shirika lao, hivyo mara watakapo rejea hewani, Watanzania watawaunga mkono kama zamani.

Mtangazaji Marine ilizidi kumbana bwana Chizi kwa kumsukumiza kabisa kwenye kona, alipomuuliza kuwa kama ATCL itaweza kuhimili ushindani wa soko dhidi ya mashirika mengine ambayo tayari yameisha imarika, Bwana Chizi, sio tuu alitoa kichekesho kingine, bali piauvunjwaji wa sheria za biashara huria, alipojibu kuwa ATCL itaiomba serikali kutoa waraka maalum, utakaowalazimisha watumishi wote wa umma, ni lazima waitumie ATCL, na wataweza tuu kutumia ndege za mashirika mengine pale tuu ambapo ATCL haiendi!.

Hili pia lilimshtua Marine Hassan alipomuuliza, hili la waraka, jee, halitasababisha ukiukwaji wa misingi ya soko huria na ushindani wa haki?!. Bwana Chizi, akasisitiza, hizo ndizo mbinu zinazotumiwa na mataifa mbalimbali kuhakikisha mashirika yake ya ndege, yana survive na kutolea mfano Uingereza, kuwa watumishi wa umma wa Uingereza, lazima wazitumie ndege za British Airways kila wanaposafiri, na endapo watakosa nafasi, ndipo wanaweza kupanda ndege za mashirika mengine. Kipindi kikaisha!.

Japo habari hizi za kufufuka kwa a national flag carrier ni good news kwa Wazalendo, lakini ni bad news kwa private flights operators wa sekta binafsi kama Precision Air, maana ATC ikiimarika ni kifo kwao!.

Ila kama Bw. Paul Chizi anayekaimu u-CEO wa ATCL ndiye huyu niliyemuona na kumsikia leo, na kama ndiye yeye anayesubiria kuidhinishwa na Bodi ya ATCL kuwa CEO kamili, then, ATCL ni Bye Bye jumla, kaburini kabisa!, hivyo Precision Air Air itaendelea kupumua.
