First of all let me clarify that the collapse of ATCL wasn't caused by this man. We need to be very careful when discussing this issue. South African Airways purchased 41percent shares of the former ATC at the cost of $20million under the agreement that the two companies forge a partnership that will enable them to exploit business opportunities in Tanzania and East Africa.

However during the final bidding process, it emerged that Kenya Airways was the winner, but due to our political tie with ANC regime, KQ was thrown away and the chance was accorded to SAA.

In brief, ATCL failed because of some top government officials who failed to advice the government effectively; these include Basil Mramba as Finance Minister, Gray Mgonja, William Kussila and Andrew Chenge.

Mufuruki didnt draft any partnership agreement between ATC AND SAA. He was only appointed after the two comapnies have merged. Why was he appointed? It was agreed that the Board's chairman should be a person trusted by both parties--ATC and SAA.

It is good to remember that the agreement was drafted by IMMA ADVOCATE, before Chenge as AG approved it under conditions that some top guys get their shares.

Mufuruki was approved by SAA because of positive vetting from Ami Mpungwe who was our ambassador there while in Tanzania his name was among other things recommended by Governor Ballali, Mramba and Ruhinda.

After privatisation, Tanzania government was supposed to to issue about $30million which was to be added by the $20million paid by SAA in order to form a capital of $50million. We didn't do that and instead we took the $20million to Hazina for other uses.

Thereafter we went back to SAA begging them to give us three flights. They refused and directed us to hire a leased planes from the international leasing firm in Singapore.

Anyway, nawahi Malawi, when I am back sasa nitawapa upande mwingine wa huyu jamaa nilikuwa tu naclear swala la ATCL

There was another clause in the ATCL-SAA agreement which stated that after two years, the government will sell its 10 percent share to a strategic investor under the conditions that the buyer should not be a potential threat to the partnership in the region.

Before selling the shares, both sides should be fully satisfied that the strategic investor is not a threat. Contrary to that clause, Mramba and his companies decided to sell the shares to Presicion Air---a move that was strongly objected by SAA.

SAA maintained that Precision is the biggest threat for ATCL especially for domestic routes and it shoulnd not be given the 10 percent share. All of you are aware about the Mramba-Shirima and others connection in Precision Airline.

South African Airways is one of the biggest airline in Africa with about 70years in aviation industry owning a total of 40 planes including Boeing 777(3) and many modern planes from Airbus and Boeing. It was then absurd to claim that SAA wanted to steal ATCL's Boeing 737-200 which very old.

ATCL was doomed business from the very beginning. SAA left, you guys appointed Mataka to run it and what happened? Even after all billions injected, no business has taken place. Aviation is not PPF or NSSF or Jackpot Bingo.

Mkuu Asante.

Angalia watu ambao wako featured. Kizuri zaidi angalia the last but one paragraph. You can give your own conclusion who the Man is.

Ndugu tunakusubiri kwa hamu.

Mdau Semilong, si vizuri kuongea mambo personal ya watu hapa, lakini let me tell you in general mambo matatu:
Muulize mfanyabiashara yeyote atakueleza hilo.
2. You need a mentor. Muulize hata Bill Gates kuna mtu alimshika mkono akamfungulia milango.

Utaona mtu kila tenda ikitoka yumo. Alichofanya hujui.
  2. Kutunza hela kidogo uipatayo mwanzo wa biashara. (actually hili ni tatizo kubwa kwa watu wengi) angalia vijana wakibahatika kupata hela kidogo tu hapa Dar wanakimbilia kununua VX, prado, ragerover, n.k.

Mimi nakuunga mkono katika our spending behaviour hapa Bongo
