Mishael, Khandwalla and Catherine in Geneva during the Moot competition finals
“Stratmore met Harvard in the final of the 17th John H. Jackson Moot Court on WTO Law today in Geneva. It was the 1st time an African team made it to the finals. Strathmore Law won the Moot! 🙏🏽 Congrats great team! Kenya!” described the elated Dean.

Strathmore university also blew its trumpet on social media sharing their joy as it praised the hard work and teamwork displayed by its students.

A tweet by the University congratulating the Moot court winners
The John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in international litigation, to improve one's written and oral legal skills and to meet students and trade professionals from around the world.

The competition is global and is organized by the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA). The simulated proceeding is based on the dispute settlement system of the World Trade Organization (WTO). The teams prepare and analyze a fictive case tackling key legal questions of international economic law in the fields of trade in goods and services.

Reaction by Mishael, one of the team members, towards their victory
The team was also this year's winners of the African regional round of the same competition which saw them compete against other regional winners in the finals.

Netizens shared the University’s victory by congratulating them for beating all odds to win the global competition. One of the team's members, Mishael, replied stating that it was a win for the continent with the win being well deserved.

The colonial hangover will one day kill you. Who told you that the world is fond of a good spoken queen's language. If that was the case, the economy of Zimbabwe would be surpassing of that of China and Japan.

If only your country men and President would be as fluent as you are, then your country would be very much ahead.

Don't get confused with the likes of China and Japan, for how long do you think they have been using their native language? And do you think before European/ Western Civilization came to be these people were like you maji maji witchcraft? C'mon China had the great Wall of China Japan resisted the Mongol Invasion long before your an ancestors knew how to cloth themselves. Mandarin is spoken by more than a billion people, Japanese by More than 300million people, Hii Kiswahili hata haijafika 200million lakini umeikwamiaa Sana...be slow bana don't get ahead of yourself perhaps utakufa kabla iwe a continental lingua.

Wee bwana mdogo achana na hizo issue za kinyonge za queen's language.
Do not equates English with country's economic development.
What counts in nowadays world is innovation, creativity and applications of acquired skills to solve problems of the society.

Exactly! So it will be in order to state that Tanzanians don't use common sense. Thats why Kenyans had to do it on your behalf to beat this buggers from Harvard at a moot court. Can all, of a similar opinion say ayeee!
