Nimeshtushwa sana na taarifa kuwa serikali haimjui mmiliki wa meli ya M,V Spice Islander ambayo imepata ajali hivi karibuni.......akizungumza na waandishi wa habari waziri Mohamed Aboud amesema"Sisi hatumjui mwenye kumiliki meli hii la ukweli lazima tuliseme,shirika la bandari ndilo lenye taarifa zote".
Lakini SUMATRA walipoulizwa walisema kuwa meli hiyo inamilikiwa na SAID BACWASH kupitia kampuni ya ALHUBRA SHIPPING CO.

Serikali ya Mapinduzi ya Zanzibar (au serikali ya umoja wa kitaifa) imetangaza kupitia waziri wake wa uchukuzi Mohammed Abud kwamba haijui mwenye meli iliyozama SPICE ISLANDERS ni ya nani! Hii inawezekana? Inasemekana ni meli ya kigogo mmoja wa huko visiwani. mambo yanaanza kufichwa kabala hata ya tume ya uchungzi kuundwa.

Pia serikali hiyo imetangaza kwamba mhandisi mkuu wa meli hiyo katiwa mbaroni na viombo vya dola. Hiyo ni sawa kabisa. Lakini cha kushamgaza ni kwamba Mkuu wa bandari (harbour Master) aliyeruhusu meli kung'oa nanga na kuanza safari ikiwa imejaza abiria na mizigo kupita kiasi bado hajakamatwa. Inasemekana ni mtoto wa kigogo mmoja wa serikali hii ya sasa au ile ya zamani.

Aidha nahodha wa meli hiyo hajulikani hadi sasa aliko. Hili linawezekana kwani huenda ni kati ya wale waliofariki na mwili kutopatikana.

Built in 1967 as Marianna for an unknown owner,she was later sold to Thelogos P Naftiliaki, Piraeus, Greece. In 1988, Marianna was sold to Apostolos Shipping and renamed Apostolos P. She was later sold to Saronikos Ferries and placed in service on the Piraeus - Aegina -Angistri route.
In 2005, Apostolos P was registered to Hellenic Seaways. In 2007, she was sold to Makame Hasnuu, Zanzibar, Tanzania. and renamedSpice Islander I. On 25 September 2007, Spice Islander I was off the coast of Somalia when she experienced engine problems due to contaminated fuel. After the alarm had been raised via Kenya, USS Stout from Combined Task Force 150 was sent to her aid.The ship was on a voyage from Oman to Tanzania and was not carrying any passengers. USS James E. Williams also responded. Stout provide the ship with 7,800 US gallons (30,000 l; 6,500 imp gal) of fuel and supplied the ten crew with food and water. After her engines were restarted, she resumed her voyage to Tanzania.

At 21:00 local time (19:00 UTC) Spice Islander I sailed from Unguja for Pemba Island. She was reported to have been carrying in excess of 800 passengers.Her capacity was 45 crew and 645 passengers.At around 01:00, (local time) on 10 September (23:00, 9 September UTC)Spice Islander I sank between Zanzibar and Pemba. Of those on board, 235 were rescued, with 40 of them suffering serious injuries. At least 200 people were killed.

nimesikia mmoja anasema kutumia 'DNA' ...hivi itasaidia nini, kuwatambua wahanga!??? ili iweje!? Kawaida mambo yanajiendea na mtu anaona fahari kutangaza msaada wa milioni 300 wakati hata robo ya hiyo fedha ilitosha kusaidia tatizo kama hilo lisitokee. ...sijui ni laana!!!

Hivi ni kweli mmiliki wa meli iliyopata ajali hajulikani? hii habari niliisikia asubuhi katika kipindi cha Nipashe cha Radio One Sterio ikimnukuu waziri Mohammed Aboud. Jee inawezekana inamilikiwa na kigogo mmoja wa CCM huko Zenji au huku bara?

Aidha habari hiyo niliiona humu JF asubuhi iliyowekwa na mwanaJF mmoja lakini baadaye ilitoweka ghafla kabla sijaanza kuchangia na ingefaa kujuwa ni kwa nini?. Habri zilisema nahodgha pia hajulikani alipo ingawa kuna habari kuwa yeye na crew wenzake walijiokoa kwa kutumia boya na kwaacha abiria wengine wakihangaika.

bahari yetu ni vilivyomo ndani yake havitunufaishi watanzania kama madini yetu yanavyowanufaisha watu wa nje. nina wasiwasi kuwa hiyo meli ina mkono wa kigogo ndani ya serikali ya jamhuri ndo maana serikali inajipanga itokeje katika sakata hili. maswali haya yanahitaji majibu ya kina kuwa meli hiyo iliingizwa nchini na nani na ilianza kufanya shuguli zake mwaka gani na kwa sasa wasimamizi wa meli hiyo ni kina nani?

Ni Mzee Ruksa -- Ali Hassan Mwinyi -- ndiye mwenye share kubwa akiwemo Mwarabu mmoja anaitwa Batashi na wahindi flani. Na huyo Harbour Master ni mtoto wa Mzee Abood Jumbe ambaye tayari kasema hahusiki na ajali kwani hakuwa anaendesha yeye.
