Mwanaume mmoja aliyejitambusha kwa jina la Aaron Chervenak mwenye umri wa miaka 34 na mkazi wa Los Angeles nchini Marekani, amefanya tukio la aina yake baada ya kufunga ndoa kanisani na simu yake ya kupapasa (smartphone).
Mwanaume huyo alisafiri hadi Vegas kulisaka kanisa moja ambalo lilimkubalia kufunga ndoa na simu yake na kula kiapo kama ambavyo alipaswa kula kiapo kwa mrembo aliyeyagusa maisha yake na kuamua kumfanya mkewe wa maisha.
Akizungumzia sababu zilizopelekea yeye kufanya tukio hilo, kupitia makala maalum ya ndoa yake hiyo, Aaron alisema kuwa ameamua kufanya hivyo kwa sababu ya ukweli kwamba simu zimekuwa zikichukua nafasi kubwa ya mapenzi na uhusiano na zikifanya jukumu kubwa la kuwatuliza watu katika dunia hii.
“Kama tutakuwa wakweli, tunaunganishwa na simu katika viwango vingi vya hisia. Tunaikimbilia kututuliza, kutulaza usingizi, kuweka unafuu kwenye mawazo yetu. Na kwangu, huo ndio uhusiano nilionao na simu yangu hii,” alisema Aaron.
“Kwa mantiki hiyo, simu yangu hii imekuwa na uhusiano wa muda mrefu na mimi na ndio maana nimeamua kufunga nayo ndoa,” aliongeza.
Kuhusu jinsi alivyokubaliwa kufanya tukio hilo kanisani, alisema kuwa alijaribu kuwasiliana na uongozi wa kanisa hilo kuona kama angeruhusiwa lakini alihakikishiwa kuwa anakaribishwa kwa mikono miwili.

As we lurch toward America's most celebratory period, I wanted to find a story that would offer more uplift than so many have of late.
Recently, Aaron Chervenak thought about his relationships and wondered which was the deepest and most enduring.
He decided that it was the profound bond he had with his phone.
How, though, could he communicate to the phone how much he loved it? Some people put cases on their phones to at least protect it. Personally.
So Chervenak went all the way. He decided to marry his phone.
"We look to it for solace, to calm us down, to put us to sleep, to ease our minds," he said.
Please do speak for yourself, sir. For some people, phones are anything but calming. They're the greatest distraction and source of anything but peace.
Chervenak, though, believes these facets of calm and ease are "what a relationship is about." Ergo, the LA-based director called the Little Las Vegas Chapel and expressed his intentions.
The phone looks like an iPhone to me, though Chervenak didn't immediately respond to a request for confirmation. What is clear is that he regards his phone as female.
Naturally, this wedding isn't exactly what you'd call legal. Even in Nevada.
Chervenak says he just wanted to show "how precious our phones are becoming." What better way to show your loved one how precious she is than by marrying her?
There again, what happens when he gets offered an upgrade?
