Kamanda Kikosi cha Usalama Barabarani cha Shirikisho (FRSC), huko Cross River, Maikano Hassan, amesema mwanamke huyo wa makamo alipata ajali hiyo na kupoteza maisha huko Calabar siku ya Jumapili baada ya kuwa katika ugomvi mzito na mwanamke aliyedaiwa kuwa ni mchepuko wa mume wake.
Alisema tukio lililohusisha gari la Toyota Highlander lililotokea katika Barabara Kuu ya Muritala Mohammed huko Calabar liligharimu maisha ya dereva wa kike ambaye alitoka nje ya barabara na kuingia kwenye mtaro kando ya barabara.
Maneno yake : "Ingawa mwanamke huyo alikimbizwa mara moja katika hospitali ya karibu, lakini ilisemekana alifariki dakika chache baadaye kutokana na jeraha alilolipata kutokana na tukio hilo."
Imeelezwa kuwa mwanamke huyo alikuwa anamfukuza mumewe ambaye alidaiwa kuwa na "side chick" kwenye gari lake kisha akashidnwa kulidhibiti gari lake na kupinduka kwenye harakati hizo.

Maikano Hassan, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Cross River, has confirmed a single incident that killed a middle-aged woman in Calabar on Sunday while she was pursuing her husband over his “mistress.”
The incident was caused by overspeeding, according to the Sector Commander who spoke on Sunday night.
He stated that an accident involving a Toyota Highlander on the Muritala Mohammed Highway in Calabar claimed the life of the lone female driver, who veered off the road and into a ditch by the road.
“Though the woman was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, she was said to have died a few minutes later due to the injury sustained from the incident,” he says.
It was gathered that the woman was said to be in pursuit of her husband who was alleged to be with a “side chick” in his car when she lost control of her vehicle , killing herself in the process.
A source who didn’t want her name in print stated that woman sighted her husband leaving SPAR shopping Mall in the company of another female when she tried to block her husband’s car with the Toyota Highlander she was driving in.
“Her husband was said to have maneuvered his vehicle out of the attempted blockade then took the Murtala Muhammed highway, with his wife is serious pursuit.
“In a bid to outrun her husband, she lost control of the speeding vehicle, veered off the road and slammed the vehicle, head long, into a tree, damaging the vehicle beyond repairs and also killing herself,” the source revealed.
