A strange Ruling?

Which stated 3 teachers and a businessman were sentenced to a total of 579 years for stealing 21 million shillings and
were asked to refund the same upon completion of their sentence.

The headteacher aged 50 was sentenced to 148 years meaning he will be 198 years old when he is released.The businessman aged 50 was sentenced to 143 years again meaning he will would 193 years old when he is released..

I find this strange as for sure now there will be no refund(s) or am I wrong??
